Cliff-Hangers and Blow-Outs! NFL Week 10 Review.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were the latest victim of a Peyton Manning comeback as the Colts beat the Steelers 24-20. Peyton still has plenty of weapons to throw to and is still one of the all time great quarterbacks in this league.

The Giants solidified their hold on first place in the NFC East, beating the Eagles 36-31 on Sunday night. It was surprising to see so many points scored on both defenses, and maybe some bad third and fourth down play calling lost it for the Eagles who dropped to 5-4 while the Giants are at 8-1.

Minnesota won a close one 28-27 over Green Bay . The Packers missed a 52-yard field goal that could have won the game.The Vikings move to 5-4 while the Packers slip to 4-5.

Meanwhile Mr. Favre and company rise to 6-3 and a share of the division lead in the AFC East destroying the Rams 47-3. More dumb comparisons between Rodgers and Favre are surely approaching!

Baltimore dominated Houston 37-13 in Houston to improve to 6-3 and a tie with Pittsburgh in that division. They should test the Giants a bit next week.

Carolina overcame four interceptions by Jake Delhomme and only rushed for 53 yard. They still won over the Raiders 17-6.  This speaks volumes about how low the Raiders have sunk in this season.

Next stop for Oakland, an East coast trip to Miami! West coast teams traveling to a 1pm game this season, 0-11. Look for that trend to continue in Miami.

Jacksonville handled Dante Culpepper's debut by wiping the Lion's out 38-14. No welcome wagon was rolled out by the Jags.

Denver won on Thursday night also spoiling another debut by Brady Quinn who played very well but lost to Cutler who threw for 445 yds. Denver 34 Cleveland 30. Cutler passed for over 200 yards and 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter.

Tennessee could not run on the Chicago Bears, who dared Kerry Collins to beat them with his arm, so he did as Tennessee remaid unbeaten 21-14. Collins passed for over 270 yds with no interceptions! The Titans are 9-0.  The Bears slip to 5-4.

New England played well and beat Buffalo 20-10 to stay in a tie for 1st with the Jets. Buffalo contines a downward spiral after starting the season at 5-1.

The Atlanta Falcons showed why Matt Ryan should have serious consideration as rookie of the year as they beat New Orleans 34-20 to up their home record to 5-0 and contend for their division.

Miami won its 3rd in a row over Seattle to move to 5-4 with a 21-19 victory. The Dolphins played spotty at times, but the defense held in the end and they got the win!

San Diego barely squeaked by Kansas City at home 20-19 in another game the Chiefs should have won. Herman Edwards went for two to try and win the game but the Chiefs didn t get it done. Earlier in the 4th quarter they punted on a 4th and one, rather than try to get a 1st down and continue perhaps a game deciding drive. Your not going to the Playoffs this season so take a chance and let these guys play a little Herman.

NFL Mikee 10-4 this week with a win in Arizona over the niners, which is a gimme.  88-56 for the season.
