Dolphins Emerge From 20,000 Leagues Under .500

Amazing! The Miami Dolphins have the same record as the Dallas Cowboys, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Buffalo Bills after Week 10. This is just insanity! Following a miserable 1-15 season they are way ahead of schedule in their rebuilding process.

The Dolphins are very well in the race for the AFC East and are likely contenders for the playoffs this year. Tony Sparano definitely deserves the coach of the year award at this point in the season. Joey Porter deserves defensive player of the year at this point. Then Chad Pennington would be neck and neck with Kurt Warner for the comeback player of the year award.

The Dolphins remaining schedule makes the playoffs seem within reach. Not only are the Dolphins 5-4 but their remaining schedule includes:

1. Oakland Raiders (at Miami)

2. New England Patriots (at Miami)

3. St. Louis Rams (at St. Louis)

4. Buffalo Bills (at Buffalo)

5. San Francisco 49ers (at Miami)

6. Kansas City Chiefs (at Kansas City)

7. New York Jets (at New York)

We know the Dolphins are capable of winning these games. If they can win even five of these games they could be 10-6 and in the playoffs. These Phins are not anywhere near the dismal team of last year, that is behind us Miami fans. Nothing will be easy even with the seemingly weak schedule up ahead, they need to continue working hard and winning games. There's still a lot of football left to be played.
