WWE Monday Night Raw: 9 Things Fans Want To See in San Jose and Future Dates

Tom Urtz Jr.Jun 7, 2018

Monday Night Raw is live from sunny and scenic San Jose, California on Monday Night. Raw is going down live in the Shark Tank—the home of the NHL's San Jose Sharks.

Fresh off the heels of C.O.O. Triple H's announcement of an Undisputed Title match at SummerSlam, the IWC is abuzz with speculation and expectations.

With this being the last Raw before SummerSlam on Sunday, the WWE will look to generate some buzz and excitement.

This slideshow will look at a few things the fans would love to see go down tonight in San Jose or on Monday Night Raw in the future.

The picture is fitting because C.M. Punk may have a thing or two to say that the fans would love.

Without further waiting, here are nine things the fans would love to see happen tonight and in the future of Monday Night Raw.

1. Michael Cole Getting Owned, Preferably by Triple H

1 of 10

This video was a great moment to watch live.

I understand Michael Cole is portraying a role as a heel, but he is just getting on the nerves of the fans. Bringing back good Ole JR Jim Ross was a great way of pleasing the members of the #IWantWrestling club.

The matches featured may not had significant length or substance, but Jim Ross makes the matches more entertaining and enjoyable.

With that being said, Michael Cole really needs to get taken of the broadcast early in the evening. This could be accomplished in a similar fashion as to when Triple H brought back J.R.

I personally would love to see, to quote Y2J, this "ass clown" eat a Pedigree and be put out of action for a few weeks.

Having Michael Cole banter back and forth at SummerSlam would be annoying and distracting for the paying customer.

2. C.M Punk Cutting a Promo and Name Dropping Chris Jericho

2 of 10

C.M. Punk name-dropped Chris Jericho last week on MNR. It was a great moment, and it got the world buzzing about a potential feud.

Chris Jericho tweeted the following

"

@IAMJERICHO "Everyone is so excited that @CMPunk mentioned me on Raw. Newsflash...I don't give a shit. Mind ur own business and stop rippin me off Punk."

"

If C.M. Punk were to touch upon these tweets or if he name-dropped Jericho again, it would be a great attempt to start building this feud.

Punk could call out Jericho. He could say, "if he truly was the best in the world, he wouldn't have left to go sing some songs."

I'm a no C.M. Punk on a mic, but I can envision Punk spinning this to be great.

3. The Raw General Manager Being Revealed

3 of 10

This slide could appear on many slideshows for days, weeks and months on end. Now that Triple H is on screen every week calling the shots, doesn't the Raw Anonymous G.M. seem rather unneeded?

If Triple H is giving the WWE Universe what they want, then this should be at the top of their Christmas lists. The weeks of strange, peculiar and incessant orders and demands have had the Universe scratching their heads to whom it could be.

I question the integrity of the concept. I truly believe they never had a specific person in mind to take the onscreen role.

Regardless of who this person is, WE WANT TO KNOW WHO THEY ARE!!!

4. A Legitmitate Tag Team and Divas Match

4 of 10

The tag team division thrived with teams like the Road Warriors, the Fabulous Freebirds, Team 3D, DX and so on and so forth when wrestling in their respective eras.

Nowadays, wrestling does not involve any legitimate tag teams. The current tag team champions are just rejects of the failed Nexus turned Corre.

If the WWE could bring tag team wrestling into existence again, it would boost the stock in the fans eyes.

As Melina and Gail Kim could tell you, the Divas division is a joke. Back in the day, divas like Lita and Trish Stratus could be sexy, but they could wrestle matches.

Today, Beth Phoenix and Natalya are the only real divas with wrestling ability. Outside of them most of the divas have limited skill sets, and their matches end up lasting less than five minutes.

It may not be a popular division, but if it was done right, it would draw in a few more fans.

5. A Main Event That Gets Some T.V. Time

5 of 10

Matches involving performers like HBK, Triple H, The Rock, Stone Cold, etc all made magic at one time or another.

A great main event is something that fans love to tune in and see every week. It just seems that, as of late, promos, negotiations and announcements have closed the show.

I have nothing against any of these things, but I love to see matches capable of captivating an audience and suckering me in to tune in the following week.

Tonight, I expect a main event involving John Cena and CM Punk. It's predictable but something necessary in order to promote their feud for SummerSlam.

People want wrestling, and great main events accomplish exactly that.

6. Triple H Exerting His Authority on Raw

6 of 10

Triple H is now back full time for the foreseeable future, and his appearances should not be wasted. Triple H's on screen presence should be felt and known each week.

Last week, he dispatched John Laurinaitis with the help of John Cena, and I have a feeling the fans want him to do more.

The new C.O.O. has already brought back J.R., has made a unification match for SummerSlam and has many minor changes in development and in the back.

What else would you like to see Triple H do?

Leave a comment, suggestion, or request in the section below. Wrestling is for the fans, and as the hashtag goes, #wewantwrestling .

7. Return of the Cruiserweights

7 of 10

Rey Mysterio, Evan Bourne, Kofi Kingston and Sin Cara are all wrestlers who are high flyers and have skill. Most of them job to wrestlers holding the Intercontinental or United States title.

Back when the lightweight and cruiserweight titles were around, these stars could captivate an audience and lead their ranks.

Nowadays, they are caught in the middle between stars that are still mid-card material and stars that are on the verge of breaking into the main event.

If these stars could be showcased in a way that made their matches legitimate, it would be awesome. Sticking some of these style wrestlers in the tag team division could be a good idea.

8. An Unpredictable John Cena Promo

8 of 10

Why does it seem that everyone knows how a John Cena promo is going to go. He starts by pandering to the crowd. He recaps the events of the previous week, and he calls out the superstar.

He then tries to make jokes and rhyme about colors or gimmicks or something random.

I am one of the few people that's ok with John Cena. Don't crucify me yet. He is a hard worker, but he has a limited move set which annoys me. He truly cares about the company and carries the brand for its majority audience—kids.

If John Cena could mix things up a bit and if he could revert to the promos he ran when he was a newbie, and when he was The Doctor of Thuganomics, things could get a bit more interesting.

Cena can work the mic on a limited basis, but we want to see something new and not as stale as the pizza your roommate ordered for last Monday's Raw and still hasn't thrown out.

9. A Tag Team Consisting of R-Truth and The Miz

9 of 10

This is just something that is comedic liquid gold. The Miz is a person who can draw a large reaction from the crowd, and R-Truth has been well received as of late.

The exchange from last weekend that got The Miz talking to himself was an instant seller. R-Truth and Miz have the similarities of hating the new regime, being products of a "conspiracy" and are two heels that can get over.

Pairing these two as a tag team would make way for a baby-face tag team to rise and give the tag team division meaning.

What do you Little Jimmies think? (Sarcasm)

What Do You Think?

Wrestling is for the fans, and we have a voice. We want wrestling, and I feel this is a great way to air out some ideas.
