Georgia Tech and Georgia: Ugly Loss vs. Ugly Win

Brian TuckerNov 9, 2008

Georgia Tech played its worst game of the year (at North Carolina) on this past Saturday while Georgia managed to edge out a win at Kentucky.

Following a great performance against Florida State and playing themselves into contention (yet again) in the ACC Coastal Tech shot themselves in the foot with more fumbles and troubles again at quarterback in the 28-7 loss at Virginia.

On the other hand, Georgia didn’t do everything real good but did just enough right to beat Kentucky on the road. It did take a career game from wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi to secure the 42-38 victory.

Tech will host Miami in Atlanta this Thursday and Georgia is on the road again playing at Auburn. I’m still looking forward to the Tech/UGAY hate-fest on Nov. 29.

To all the Bulldogs supporters out there that continue to read these, let me set you straight one more time, bottom feeders. I’m going to run smack on here no matter how bad Tech plays or how good your little MUTTS play.

I’m a lifelong Tech fan, so bringing up a streak or how many points Georgia will score on Tech in a few weeks doesn’t phase me at all. One of you tards said I was writing as if I was “comparing apples to oranges,” and that’s stupid.

It doesn’t matter what conference you’re in or how you win the games; a win is a win. Look at you Georgia fans; always complaining about a schedule being tough or the fact that you should have played for a national title here or there along the way.

This year, you can blame yourselves and the rest of the sports world for being stupid enough to believe the pre-season No. 1 bullshit.

Y’all have been overrated since the first game of the season and now we know that the Stafford/Moreno connection is no different that any other 1-2 punch in college football, meaning they are beatable.

Tech has seven wins going into Thursday’s game against Miami, and we would have been happy with four or five with a new coach and a whole new game plan. Be realistic, Tech is still doing more with what we have than the Bulldogs are.

It’s the penalties that’s killing them, but then again does it matter what the cause, because we all know the excuses keep stacking up. Hmm….. Wonder if y’all would be undefeated if Munson was still in the booth? HA!
