TNA Hardcore Justice: Predicting the Winners

Kyle SchadlerJun 7, 2018

TNA Hardcore Justice is tomorrow night with nine matches, TNA once again has the potential to have a great show. Their past two pay-per-views were shining examples of great wrestling and were overall phenomenal shows.

Slammiversary and Destination X blew anything WWE did out of the water, but then WWE answered with the greatness that was Money in the Bank. TNA certainly has some big competition this month in SummerSlam, but if this summer is any indication, TNA will not disappoint with this show.

So here’s what’s on the card and who I think will win.

Tara and Ms. Tessmacher vs. Sarita and Rosita: Knockout’s Tag Titles

1 of 10

Mexican America invoked their rematch clause yesterday and the match was placed on the card.

When Tara and Tessmacher won the belts a few weeks ago, they had a pretty good match. There’s no reason to think this won’t be as well.

My only worry is Sarita. She was having facial seizures, which is why she’s been wearing the mask. Impact Wrestling is taped ahead of time, so she may be fine now. At least I hope she is. I am a fan of Sarita and she is one of the best TNA has in their Knockout Division and it would be a shame if this hinders her ability in the ring, and worrisome if it’s risking her health.

Either way, this should still be a good match. With these two teams not really feuding, and Sarita’s health in question, I give the match to the reigning champs.

Winners and still champions: Tara and Ms. Tessmacher

Bully Ray vs. Mr. Anderson

2 of 10

Ever since Mr. Anderson joined Immortal, I’ve been waiting for him to clash with someone. That someone just happened to be Bully Ray.

They have been at each other’s throats ever since Anderson lost the TNA World Title to Sting. Ray has been playing the cowardly heel very well in this feud when he volunteered Anderson for matches that he himself could have taken.

Last week on Impact Wrestling Ray cost Anderson a steel cage match against Kurt Angle. This past Thursday, Anderson laid out the challenge. Ray answered with some spit, and a knee backstage. At that point the match was one.

This is going to be quite the physical match and I think it has a chance to be one of the best matches of the night. It’s hard to come up with a winner to this, though. Both are members of Immortal, and the winner will have bragging rights over the loser’s head. No matter who wins, this is the first step in the death of Immortal.

Since Anderson is like a fish out of water in the stable, I’ll give him the win. That way, maybe, he’ll start fighting with Sting and Fortune in their quest to take down Immortal.

Winner: Mr. Anderson

D’Angelo Dinero vs. Devon: BFGS Match

3 of 10

With Dinero at 10 points and Devon with 30, The Pope needs this victory. With their current storyline, though, it may not happen.

Dinero is becoming quite the friend to Devon’s children. Devon of course doesn’t like that too much. In the past, Dinero has helped Devon, even giving him seven points in a tag match, to prove that he’s for real and that he’s not playing a game with his kids.

Will Dinero once again give Devon the points, or will he finally realize this series is for a World Title shot and go for the win? I think we’ll finally see The Pope’s true colors here, and he’ll finally start moving up the board.

Winner: D’Angelo Dinero

Rob Van Dam vs. Crimson: BFGS Match

4 of 10

What can really be said about this match? Crimson has an undefeated gimmick and he’s in a one-on-one match.

Van Dam will carry this whole thing, making Crimson look good in the process. I think Van Dam will come closer than anyone else in beating him, though. He’ll hit the five-star frog splash, but only get a two count.

Crimson will then hit finisher out of nowhere to pick up the victory and another seven points.

Winner: Crimson

Mickie James vs. Winter: Knockouts Title

5 of 10

During this entire feud, Mickie has barely gotten in the ring. Winter and Angelina Love would wrestle, beat their opponents and then beat them down afterwards to prove a point.

While I am a huge fan of Mickie’s, I’ve been kind of disappointed in her TNA run. She wrestled almost every Thursday until she won the title. Now she just talks or isn’t on the show at all. TNA needs a champion that will be there every night, preferably wrestling.

Winter and Angelina have stated that if Winter wins the belt, they’ll both be champion. I think that’s a sign of things to come. As much as I love Mickie, she’s not a very good champion. As long as Winter and Angelina don’t break the belt in half like Lay-Cool, I’m fine with them being co-champions.

Have them hold the belts until Gail Kim’s no-compete clause is up, and then bring her back to take down the mystical duo.

Winner and new champion: Winter

Fortune vs. Immortal

6 of 10

A.J. Styles, Christopher Daniels and Kazarian vs. Gunner, Abyss and Scott Steiner

I was afraid that TNA had forgotten about this feud. Until Sting won back the World Title, it was like Fortune didn’t exist. Now the feud is back on, thankfully, and let’s hope they don’t put it on the backburner anymore.

This one is a tough call. The team of Gunner, Abyss and Big Poppa Pump are a random pairing. Having three five-star talents lose to them makes them look weak, especially if Steiner happens to get the pin or submission.

On the other hand, though, Styles and Daniels seem to be fighting. Daniels cost Styles points in the Bound for Glory Series this past Thursday when he came out to the ring and inadvertently distracted him.

Was it by accident, though? Does Daniels want Styles to lose the series just so they can have another match? Whether that factors into this match remains to be seen.

With Immortal starting the slow decent into falling apart, I’m giving the win to Fortune.

Winners: Fortune

Brain Kendrick vs. Austin Aries vs. Alex Shelley: X-Division Title

7 of 10

Thanks to Destination X, the X-Division seems to be getting attention again, and most of that attention is being given to Austin Aries.

Aries won a TNA contract when he won the fatal four-way match at the PPV and ever since then he’s been playing by his own rules. He has won by questionable methods in recent weeks and has even cost Shelley the X-Division Title.

This has caused problems with both Shelley and champion Kendrick. They’ve been saying that Aries hasn’t been playing by the rules, or code of ethics, of the X-Division. Aries, though, only has one rule, and that’s to play by his rules.

This will no doubt be match of the night. All three are phenomenal talents and will blow us all away.

To me, Kendrick is not a believable champion. In the ring, yes he is. On the mic, no way. When he speaks you have no idea what he’s saying.

Aries has been on a role since coming back so I’m giving this to him. He’s believable both in the ring and on the mic. Then he and Shelley can battle it out at No Surrender and possibly Bound for Glory.

Winner and new champion: Austin Aries

Beer Money vs. Mexican America: Tag Team Titles

8 of 10

After months of Mexican America complaining about not getting a shot at the titles, they got it.

Bobby Roode and James Storm are deep in the Bound for Glory Series right now. Roode has 28 points while Storm has 33. Both have a chance to be in the Final Four at No Surrender. If that happens, or if just one of them are in it, that takes away from the titles as they can’t be defended.

At the same time, though, I think Mexican America is a bust. Nobody really seems to care when they’re in the ring. Yes, they get the cheap heat for being foreigners making fun of and bashing the United States, but cheap heat can only go so far.

The Latin American Xchange were much better and TNA could really benefit from getting rid of Anarquia and bringing back Homicide.

With Roode and Storm concentrating on the BFGS, I’ll give the titles to Hernandez and Anarquia.

Winners and new champions: Mexican America

Sting vs. Kurt Angle: TNA World Title

9 of 10

This is the match Kurt Angle has been waiting for. The Olympic gold medalist has never beaten Sting cleanly and he hopes to do that tomorrow night.

Sting needs the world title in his quest to take down Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff, and to bring the company back to Dixie Carter.

This one is hard to predict. Angle has stated that he needs this victory and that losing was not an option. Sting has stated that he needs this victory for the reasons above.

Earlier this summer it was reported that Sting would wrestle Hulk Hogan at Bound for Glory. He can’t do that as champion as the champ will face the winner of the BFGS.

Will the Insane Icon lose the title here, though? I don’t think so. I think he’ll lose the title at No Surrender when Hogan costs him the match, thus setting up Sting/Hogan at Bound for Glory.

No matter the outcome, Sting and Angle will have a great match.

Winner and still champion: Sting

Conclusion

10 of 10

Well that’s it. TNA has stacked the card for this show. Every match has the potential to be great, it’s just a matter of whether they will be or not.

TNA has big shoes to fill as their past two PPVs have been great. The last big wrestling PPV was Money in the Bank, and TNA must bring it.

MITB was the best WWE PPV this year and it rivals, and possibly surpasses, Slammiversary in terms of the best PPV this year between them.

TNA has to put on a great show and I think they will.
