Joey Logano Claims Pole in Pocono

Joey Logano claimed his third career pole in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series as he starts first in tomorrow's Good Sam RV Insurance 500.  Logano turned a lap of 172.055 mph in this morning's qualifying session.

Joining Logano on the front row is Kasey Kahne.  Kahne will make his second straight start on the outside of the front row in the no. 4 Red Bull Toyota.  Kahne turned a lap of 171.648 mph for an all Toyota front row.

Martin Truex Jr. will start a season best third to snag the front three spots for Toyota in tomorrow's race.  Truex turned a lap of 171.494 mph.

Joining Truex in the second row is Sprint Cup Series Points Leader Carl Edwards.  Edwards turned a lap of 171.474 mph.

Rounding out the top five is the pole sitter from the June Pocono race Kurt Busch.

Other notable drivers in the starting field for Sunday's race are Brickyard 400 winner Paul Menard who will start seventh.  Brickyard 400 runner-up Jeff Gordon scraped the wall in his qualifying effort and will start a disappointing 31st.  Five-time defending Sprint Cup Champion Jimmie Johnson will start 18th, while teammate and fan favorite Dale Earnhardt Jr. will start 19th.
