NFL Predictions: The Houston Texans Will Win the AFC South
Obviously it would have been impossible to predict the division winners before the lockout ended. There were too many big-name free agents out there that were set to change the look and feel of the 2011 season. With nearly all of the high profile players set with their new/old teams, the landscape of the NFL has changed, and we can begin to see these teams take shape.
There were many teams that appeared to greatly improve their team on paper, while others appear as though they might be taking a step back. The free agent frenzy put a giant target on the Eagles' back, and really hurt teams like the Bengals and the Raiders. Some teams like the Cardinals, Seahawks and Vikings made some great deals and could possibly be contenders next year.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It would be ridiculous to predict the number of wins for each team this year, due to the make up of the teams, injuries and the fact that football activities have just now started. There are some predictions that I feel aren't that much of a stretch, like the Houston Texans winning the AFC South this year.
Looking at their offense, it is clear that they are explosive and have some lethal weapons. Not only do they have the best receiver in the game in Andre Johnson, but they have last year's leading rusher, Arian Foster. Foster is also one of the deadliest pass-catching backs in the game. Quarterback Matt Schaub has proven that he is a great talent, capable of putting up big numbers.
The defense has a great player on the line in Mario Williams, a trio of good young linebackers, and finally a shutdown corner in Johnathan Joseph. The secondary has been the biggest concern for the Texans over the last handful of years, and it seems as though they took a big step forward this year with the signing of Joseph. They will need him to help stop Manning and the Colts.
The Jaguars and Titans don't have a Peyton Manning, but they do have two of the best running backs in the league in Chris Johnson and Maurice Jones-Drew. That is where the play at linebacker and the defensive line must step up. They are entering the prime of their careers, and with a new coach on defense, they should be able to elevate their level of play.
Obviously the offense can score as many points as they need to win, but it will be up to the defense to actually stop the opposition this year. I believe they will be able to do that and finally win the AFC South division, while also saving Gary Kubiac's job.
