Countdown to F1 2009: Preview Issue

Billy SextonNov 8, 2008

Welcome to a brand new series brought to you by Bleacher Report analyst Billy Sexton.

I know this may be too early for some of you, but I’m already counting down to 2009 and I have an exciting new series to count down to the new season.

First practice in Australia kicks off on March 27, but before the season officially gets underway, us F1 fanatics have 12 long weeks (from January) of 2009 car launches, pre-season testing and driver/team rumours and changes.

Will Kimi Raikkonen be able cope with his intense testing schedule? Have Honda done enough to be competitive? Will the acclaimed Bruno Senna make it into F1?

The only way to find out is here, on the Bleacher Report F1 page. Billy Sexton will be counting down to the new season by publishing a summary of F1 news every week to keep you up to date with all the pre-season goings-on!

No stone will be left unturned. You will be provided with links to testing pictures and data as well as shots and dates of 2009 car launches.

All driver changes will be reported in a special edition issue. For example, if Kimi Raikkonen returns to McLaren, then it will be reported on the day and you will not have to wait until the weekend.

This idea may sound similar to Ryan Woods current “News Weekly” series but I assure you that my articles are slightly different and only contain information on the 2009 F1 season and exclude all the nitty gritty political goings-on in Formula One.

Also, please don’t be afraid to ask me to include some extra features. If, for example, you want to see some testing videos, I will endeavour to find some for you. I can’t promise anything, but I will try my best.

The first news summary will hit Bleacher Report in a week’s time, on Sunday, Nov. 16. Miss it and you will miss out!

Countdown to Formula One 2009 is proud to be in partnership with The Formula One Times. Make sure you don't miss their daily news round ups from Monday through to Friday.
