How Am I Doing?
Every week I get a bunch of emails asking how my teams are doing in my leagues. So, I thought I would lay out how I have been doing and who is on some of my teams.
Keeper League Year 6-This is where it all began. This is a league with personal friends that we have been playing for nearly ten years. I was the champion in 2006 but was bumped in the semi-final round last year. Although I have made a boat load of trades, here is the current roster:
QBs-Drew Brees, Jay Cutler, Trent Edwards (play two)
RBs-Stephen Jackson, Chris Johnson, Joseph Addai, Kevin Smith (play two)
WRs-Larry Fitzgerald, Vincent Jackson, Santonio Holmes, Donnie Avery, Steve Smith (NYG) (play three)
TEs-Tony Scheffler, Vernon Davis (play one)
The roster also has a W/R and W/T.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
An added twist is we play individual defensive players. Here are my defenders:
London Fletcher, James Harrison, Terrell Suggs, Omar Gaither, Keith Bullock, Adrian Wilson, Gibril Wilson, Nate Clements, Kerry Rhodes, Dwight Lowery.
As of today I am 8-1 and in first place. My only loss was to the last place team, and I have a two game lead on second place and a three game lead on third. Top two get a bye.
NFL Keeper League-Another keeper league that I got involved in. It is a points league but things haven’t gone too well. When you see the roster, you will know why.
QBs-Carson Palmer, Matt Hasselbeck, Kyle Orton, Rex Grossman, Daunte Culpepper (play two)
RBs-Joseph Addai, DeAngelo Williams, Cedric Benson, Felix Jones, Justin Fargas (play three)
WRs-Braylon Edwards, Vincent Jackson, Santana Moss, Ted Ginn Jr, James Hardy (play four)
TEs-Jeremy Shockey, Zach Miller (play two)
K-Matt Prater
DEF-Philly and Houston (play two)
This league also plays individual defense, but given my injury problems I have been forced to play with less than the normal number of defenders.
Jared Allen, Chad Greenway, Adrian Wilson, Kerry Rhodes, London Fletcher.
Ok, by now you must agree with me that this roster size is idiotic! Two QBs, two TEs, two team defense? The guy who asked me to join is a friend so I agreed, but it isn’t my favorite league. Plus with my neverending string of bad injuries (Palmer, Hasselbeck, F. Jones, Addai, Orton, Shockey) I am in the cellar. If I can get healthy perhaps I can make a run, but I am basically just trying to hold on to some young guys for next year. The score from first to last is 3265 and I have 2271.
NSP Experts League-One of three expert leagues that I am involved in, but I got off to a tough start. With Stephen Jackson in the first round and Maroney in the third, no need to tell you how I am doing.
QBs-Carson Palmer, Matt Hasselbeck, Brady Quinn
RBs-Stephen Jackson, LenDale White, Ryan Torain (haven’t dropped him yet), Cedric Benson
WRs-Chad Johnson, Lee Evans, Steve Smith (NYG), Donnie Avery, Kevin Curtis
TEs-Tony Gonzalez

DEF-New York Giants
Ok, I drafted Palmer, but just picked up Hasselbeck. Don’t want you all to think I have some sort of crush on those two guys since they have been on the past two rosters. But between Palmer’s injury and Chad and Jackson’s ineffectiveness I got off to a 1-5 start. However, I had Kyle Orton who got me through a few tough matchups and I have won three in a row. Things are pointed in the right direction and right now I am sitting in the last playoff spot.
Fantasy Football Search Experts-Another league where I had QB injury problems as I picked Matt Hasselbeck. I sit at 2-7 after losing three in a row and prospects for the playoffs are not sunny. But three of my losses are by 8, 6, and 1 points so a few lucky breaks and I would be in much better shape. Pennington has been keeping the QB seat warm for Hasselbeck, so hopefully things will turn around when he comes back. The roster:
QBs-Matt Hasselbeck, Chad Pennington, Brady Quinn
RBs-Marion Barber, Ryan Grant, Derrick Ward, Maurice Morris
WRs-Brandon Marshall, Roy Williams, Wes Welker, Steve Smith (NYG), Derrick Mason, James Hardy
TE-Tony Gonzalez
K-Robbie Gould
DEF-Carolina Panthers
The injury trouble wasn’t as bad in this league, things just haven’t panned out. Like I said I had some tough losses, but 2-7? I thought I was better than that. I’m off to a good start this week with Quinn and Marshall, but I need a huge finish and some help to make the playoffs.
Drunken Pirate Slapfight Expert League-Ok, I didn’t draft this team but was asked to take it over after an owner stopped paying attention a week into the season. Not sure why, the team is pretty decent and I’ve been doing pretty good in this one. There are three divisions and I lead mine with a 7-3 record, looking good to make the playoffs. Here’s the roster:
QBs-Jay Cutler, Kurt Warner, Marc Bulger
RBs-Stephen Jackson, Fred Taylor, Darren Sproles, Kolby Smith and Michael Pittman (both will be replaced)
WRs-Steve Smith (CAR), Steve Smith (NYG), Andre Johnson, Bernard Berrian, Donte Stallworth
TEs-Kellen Winslow, Anthony Fasano
K-Rob Bironas
DEF-Philadelphia, Chicago
I had won five in a row before losing last week, but I have to make the playoffs here, it would be a monumental collapse if I didn’t.
So there you have it folks, those are the leagues that I am in and how I am in doing. I’d love to hear any comments that you might have about my teams or how I am doing. As always, your comments and questions are welcome at fightingchancefantasy@gmail.com. I guarantee a response within 18 hours.
