WWE: 6 Bold Moves Triple H Should Make as New Head of WWE

Matthew MaloneJun 7, 2018

Triple H is running the show on both Raw and SmackDown, and he is ruling them with an iron fist.

He is not going to sit back and make obscure decisions like Teddy Long and the Anonymous Raw GM. He is here to make his mark, make bold and deliberate moves and hopefully improve the quality both shows.

Here are six bold moves we would love to see The Game make.

6. Expose the Anonymous GM

1 of 7

The anonymous general manager of Raw hasn’t made a chirp since Triple H took over.

The gimmick has run its course, but at least give the viewers some closure and reveal who has been calling the shots since Bret Hart was relieved of his duties.

Much like the season finale of Lost, there is really no way the conclusion will be satisfying. Still, we need to know.

5. Schedule a Tag Team Tournament

2 of 7

Most fans would like to see a resurgence of the tag team division, and recently it has started to look optimistic.

But first, Triple H should schedule a tournament to determine the No. 1 contender to face the New Nexus (or whatever they are now) at SummerSlam.

The challengers: The Usos, Ryder and Santino, R Truth and Miz and Rhodes and DiBiase.

4. Fire Michael Cole from Monday Night Raw

3 of 7

If Jim Ross is back for good, there is no need for Michael Cole.

It is frustrating listening to Cole whine for two hours straight while good ol’ JR struggles to get a word in.

JR can mark for the faces, Jerry “The King” Lawler can go back to loving heels and puppies, and we will all pretend we never had to listen to Cole yell “vintage Cena!” every time Doctor Thuganomics did anything.

3. Change Monday Night Raw’s Theme Song

4 of 7

First, let me apologize to any Nickelback fans reading this.

I have never met a Nickelback fan, but the group has sold over 35 million records, so I know they exist.

“Burn It to the Ground” has been the theme song of Monday Night Raw since November 16, 2009. The song is the perfect example of the corny arena-rock that post-Attitude Era WWE refuses to let go of. If this is the dawn of a new era, embrace the change and let go of 1997.

This one is completely selfish, but I just don’t like listening to this song every sing week.

2. Make John Cena vs. CM Punk at SummerSlam No DQ or a Ladder Match

5 of 7

Cena vs. Punk at Money in the Bank was clean, so there is no reason to anticipate foul play at SummerSlam.

But, if Cena or Punk does get disqualified, WWE fans will have to watch the same story play out until Night of Champions.

And does anyone really want to watch CM Punk and John Cena raise their championship belts back and forth while the sound man scrambles between playing “My Time is Now” and “Cult of Personality?”

1. Make Randy Orton vs. Christian a Tables Match

6 of 7

Christian and Orton are already scheduled for a no DQ match at SummerSlam.

But, given Orton’s recent inability to break the Spanish announcers' table with the RKO, it would be great to watch him lose his mind trying to put Christian through it at SummerSlam.

(Note: Why doesn’t that table break for an RKO? I’ve seen it crumble when Triple H wasn’t even finished setting up a Pedigree on top of it. Why is it so indestructible now? Have the Spanish announcers had enough and reinforced their station with cinder blocks? This is what I think about.)
