WWE: 10 Wrestlers Who Need to Be Let Go

David LevinJun 7, 2018

For whatever reason, these wrestlers need some new scenery. Maybe a new venue would be good for them.

Maybe a fresh start, because they certainly are not making it pay in the WWE.

New boss Triple H is making changes within the company. He is bringing in new talent, keeping old talent around and trying to give the brand a fresh new look.

And maybe for some, this new coat of paint is not the right shade for them.

David Otunga

I will continue to say it again and again, Otunga may be getting better, but he is not singles-match material.

If it were not for winning the world tag titles with Mike McGillicutty, he would have no place in the WWE since The Nexus is no longer an important faction in the WWE.

Let's see what happens in the next few weeks if he remains a champion and someone who is in the COO's plans for the future.

Justin Gabriel

I am on the fence about this one because I think he has a world of talent.

But he never should have split with Heath Slater.

The high-flying moves are great and his look is impressive.

I still need to see more out of him.

Chris Masters

Is he still a member of the WWE roster? He used to be this imposing figure and he had such promise.

But this is what happens when creative gets a new idea and a wrestler is pushed aside.

He would do well in ROH.

Santino Marella

While he is good for a few laughs and he is a decent technical wrestler, Marella really has no place if he is not a champion.

He and Vladimir Kozlov and now Zack Ryder are not going to get many title shots.

And the Cobra has about worn out its welcome.

The Great Khali

5 of 10

If he is not challenging for a title and he is not in a great storyline, then he is nothing more than a sideshow.

Khali cannot challenge for either title or take a run at the U.S. or Intercontinental Title.

He is more of a carnival show right now.

Michael McGillicutty

You had hoped with his pedigree (he is the son of Curt Hennig), he would be in a better spot.

He is a tag team champion which is great, but with his genes, he should be challenging for singles titles.

He cannot make it on his own so he like Otunga, depend on each other.

Vladimir Kozlov

7 of 10

He had so much promise and hope early when he came to the WWE.

It faded fast.

A former tag team champion, he is now a mid-carder and could be on the way out if he cannot find his own gimmick to stay in the chase.

Tyler Reks

I saw him on CWF and thought he was a great talent.

Not so much when he went to the big show.

The look is great and I am sure the ability is there. He is just caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.

He could take some time on the independent circuit and come back to the WWE with some fine tuning.

Drew McIntyre

9 of 10

He was dubbed as the future of the company.

He is talented, young and has the look of a champion. But the way the middle of the pack is situated, he will not get a push or even a look.

He would be great in either ROH or TNA and probably challenge for a title.

Then when he is a little more experienced, come back to WWE and challenge for the title.

Heath Slater

10 of 10

Another one of the original Nexus that needs to go.

He has a great look, a good skill set and nowhere to go. He was a tag team champion and that proved to be good for him.

Now he and Gabriel have split and even faced each other.

He could go to TNA and be an X-Division champion.
