Is it Time for Warriors Fans To Bring "Fire Rowell" Signs To Home Games?

Steven ResnickNov 7, 2008

Just when there was a huge amount of hope for Golden State Warriors fans, it has been stolen away.

Stolen away by a clueless Team President named Robert Rowell.

Unfortunately for Warriors fans, Rowell is the right-hand-man of Owner Chris Cohan. Meaning that any decision Rowell makes, Cohan is going to give approval over the General Manager Chris Mullin and Head Coach Don Nelson.

So, today it has been reported that Assistant GM Pete D'Alessandro was fired by Robert Rowell in a move that many Warriors fans see as a way of showing Mullin that he doesn't have much time left at his position.

The problem is, if it wasn't for Mullin, the Warriors wouldn't have either been in the playoffs or won 48 games last year.

There's not much Warriors fans can do because even during the long drought of not going to the postseason, the fans still went to watch their team.

It seems day after day, there's more information or actions from the Warriors organization that makes it harder to be happy with the direction of the franchise.

Especially with Rowell acting like a child in handling the situation of Mullin's contract just because they didn't see eye to eye on whether or not they should sign Baron Davis and how long the suspension should be for Monta Ellis.

After today's news, it's time for Warriors fans to show their support for Mullin and keeping a winning atmosphere in Golden State.

It's time for Warriors fans to take actions. Instead of "We Believe" t-shirts. New t-shirts and new signs reading "Fire Rowell!"

Maybe then Chris Cohan will get the point that Warriors fans are sick of Rowell's attitude and it's time for him to go!
