2011 NFL Free Agency Tracker, Part 3

Sean E. DouglasJun 7, 2018

Now that the weekend is behind us, many of the notable stars in free agency are signed and ready to play some football. That said, there are still some quality options on the market as Braylon Edwards, Aubrayo Franklin and others can make an instant impact on a new team.

One quality option that fell off the table on Monday was running back Ahmad Bradshaw as he signed with his old team the New York Giants. Stay tuned for updates on this page throughout the coming week as we continue to find out where players land on the open market.

Free Agent Tracker - Part 1

Agreed To Terms

Giants - RB Ahmad Bradshaw - There was talk about Ahmad Bradshaw possibly landing with the Dolphins, but his price tag was too high. In the end, Bradshaw settled for re-upping with the Giants and will share time with Brandon Jacobs in the backfield.

Buccaneers - LB Adam Heyward - Tampa Bay brings Heyward back on a three-year deal to give them added depth. This makes sense as Heyward has been in the Buccaneers' defensive scheme and will help the team in a pinch.

Seahawks - CB Kelly Jennings - Added depth to the Seahawks backfield, as Kelly Jennings comes back on a one-year deal.

Jets - CB Antonio Cromartie - A nice consolation prize as the Jets fell short on grabbing Asomugha, but they were able to tie up Antonio Cromartie who did a good job for them a year ago. This is a good fit for the Jets, now lets hope Cromartie can keep his head on straight. Considering his personal situation, he can't afford to slough off on the field, so hopefully this works out for all.

Saints - DE Turk McBride - Added depth on the front line as Will Smith (StarCaps case) is set for a four-game suspension to start the season.

Steelers - RB Mewelde Moore - Will fill in as a role player once again, playing behind Rashard Mendenhall in the Steelers offense.

Bills - LB Nick Barnett - Nice pickup for the Bills as Barnett will be a value pick in IDP leagues. A three-year deal, Barnett should have no problem playing in Buffalo's multiple-front defense as they move between 3-4, 4-3 defensive schemes.

Ravens - FB Vonta Leach - This signing happened yesterday, but I missed it while scouring through all the players. Vonta Leach will be missed in Houston, and he will help blow open holes for Ray Rice. Good signing for the Ravens, but I still feel Arian Foster will be one of the top backs for fantasy in 2011.

Packers - WR James Jones - It looks like James Jones is back in the mix for Aaron Rodgers, and that is good news for the quarterback, but bad news for Jordy Nelson's odds to breakout.

Bengals - LB Manny Lawson - The former 49er heads over to the Bengals on a one-year deal and will play in a 4-3 scheme for the first time as a pro. Lawson has failed to provide the pass rush expected off the edge that made him a first-round pick by San Francisco years ago.

Panthers - QB Derek Anderson - Somehow, someway this guy continues to draw checks from NFL teams, and the Panthers are his next victim. It's been a long time since Anderson had his big season back in 2007, and he's unlikely to amount to anything good ever again.

Raiders - LB Kamerion Wimbley - The Raiders top pass rusher in 2010, Kamerion Wimbley proved he could be a force off the edge in a 4-3 scheme and should continue to give quarterbacks problems, as the Raiders have a strong front line for opposing offensive lineman to deal with. Wimbley makes for a ultra cheap addition in big play IDP leagues, as the Raiders hope to make their way to the playoffs.

Titans - DL Dave Ball - With Jason Babin gone to the Eagles, Dave Ball could end up being the teams top sack master if Derrick Morgan should struggle in his second season. Ball posted 7.5 sacks last season and should continue to be used on passing downs this season.

Colts - DL Jamaal Anderson - The first top-10 pick, looks to keep his career going with the Colts, backing up Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney on the front line.

Redskins - DB Phillip Buchanon - The Redskins bring back Phillip Buchanon after the veteran was torched in the secondary last year, at times. Buchanon can be a useful corner but he could use a rebound season.

Cowboys - DL Jason Hatcher - Look for Jason Hatcher to provide the Cowboys with respectable depth on the front line as Marcus Spears and Igor figure to start.

Giants - TE Ben Patrick - I still expect the Giants to retain Kevin Boss as Ben Patrick is just depth at the tight end position, and not much of a passing threat. Boss is a good weapon for Eli Manning and I'm sure the team values his services, even-though it is taking them some time to get him signed.

49ers - DB Madieu Williams - Alright! the 49ers actually landed someone notable in free agency that wasn't a kicker. Well, not exactly, as Madieu Williams is not a great player, but this has been a horrible free agency for the 49ers, as they seem to feel happy with the losing team they are bringing back form a year ago. Then again, they aren't even doing that as multiple starters like Manny Lawson, David Baas, Takeo Spikes are all gone from the team. This is not a good start for the Harbaugh era.

Colts - QB Dan Orlovsky - The former Texans backup will now compete for the right to backup Peyton Manning and hold a clipboard for the entire season. Sure, Manning has a bad neck but he will probably find a way to get through the full 16-game slate.

Titans - DE Jacob Ford - Coming off a down season, Jacob Ford was a respectable pass rusher for the Titans the previous years in 2008 and 2009. Ford will get a chance to make an impact this year with Jason Babin gone, but look to Derrick Morgan as the lineman to target for IDP fantasy leagues.

Dolphins - DE Jason Taylor - This is getting a little ridiculous as I'm starting to grow tired of the Dolphins bringing Jason Taylor back and then kicking him to the curb. Now the third time Taylor has re-signed with this long-time team, Taylor will serve as a rotational pass rusher once again.
