Bridgestone Invitational 2011 TV Schedule: Tiger Woods' Return and Full Schedule
Return of Tiger Woods and Complete TV Schedule for WGC-Bridgestone Invitational
Tiger Woods' comeback has the Bridgestone Invitational feeling like a major. He may not be at 100 percent and he could very well put forth a lackluster performance, but he's still the talk of the tournament.
Woods is still looking to snap his winless streak. After an 11-week layover, it won't come easily. The odds are still stacked against Woods, but he's well overdue for a victory.
Guys like Rory McIlroy are likely thrilled at the chance to take on Tiger again. This is the first time since McIlroy put forth his incredible performance at the US Open earlier in the year. McIlroy is on the verge of becoming the face of golf, but Tiger's comeback may put things on hold.
Even if Woods is able to hold off McIlroy, he's still got the rest of the field to compete with. The US Open was indicative of just how wide open golf is. It's anyone's game and any member of the field can rise to the occasion.
This isn't a major, but there is still a lot on the line. The implications of this tournament could have a huge impact on the rest of Woods' year, and even his career. Woods is just as likely to win as he is to pull out of another tournament due to his knee injury.
With so much ambiguity surrounding Woods and the tournament in general, you aren't going to want to miss a second.
The tournament will be broadcasted from Thursday, August 4 to Sunday, August 7. Here is the complete TV Schedule.
