WWE Raw Preview: Will the Real Champion Please Stand Up
The past few weeks have been a great time to be a wrestling fan. Both WWE and TNA have been delivering great shows and that’s good for the business and for the fans.
Tonight, though, is Monday Night Raw. Last week, WWE gave us two new champions, but at the closing moments of the show, we got quite the huge surprise in the return of CM Punk.
So what will happen tonight? Here’s what’s confirmed as of this morning.

Diva’s Battle Royal: Winner to become No. 1 contender for Divas Title
Over the past few years, the Divas Division has been a complete waste of time. The company relied on hiring models with no wrestling experience. Champion Kelly Kelly is one of those, but she has improved quite a bit in the ring.
She is also no doubt the most popular diva in the WWE right now.
When she won the title, I was hoping that WWE would pay a little more attention to their female performers, but they haven’t. With this battle royal, all the divas get the chance to showcase their skills, but it will most likely be booked horribly.
So who will win the battle royal and challenge Kelly for the title at SummerSlam?
CM Punk Speaks About His Return
This was announced last week. As long as they give Punk an open mic much like they did weeks ago, this should be a great promo.
What will he say? Did Triple H give in to his demands? Are the WWE ice cream bars coming back? I guess we’ll find out once Punk speaks.
Triple H to address the issue of having two champions
This is a big problem for Triple H. You can’t have two champions carrying the same belt around. As the man in charge, Triple H has a big decision to make.
I see three possibilities in his decision: strip Punk of his title, Cena of his title, or a unification match at SummerSlam.
Option three is the most likely to happen, but with reports of the script changing six times last week, anything can happen.
While not confirmed, there are at least two more questions looming about tonight.
Last week, John Morrison made his return. Will we see a match between him and R-Truth, or just another brawl?
We’ll also find out what Michael Cole’s decision is concerning the broadcast booth. Will we see a three-man team, or is Cole staying on SmackDown to save us from the constant arguing?
WWE Raw should be must see television tonight. While not much is confirmed yet, to me, this is enough to want to stop everything I’m doing once it starts.
I can’t wait to see what Punk says. So far Triple H has been doing a great job in his new role, and I can’t wait to see what he does next.
I have been watching WWE since I was very little, but over the past few years, I have been losing interest in the company. With the events that have been happening lately, though, I am once again excited to be a WWE fan.
