TNA IMPACT Slamback: The Turning Point Begins Now!
With just a few days until Turning Point, it was imperative to everyone on the TNA Roster to step up and gain an advantage heading into the pay per view. And low and behold, it didn't take long for the Main Event Mafia to come out and gloat about their unstoppable faction. But before they could enjoy their evening, they still had to earn their paychecks.
With that in mind, here's a recap of last night's TNA IMPACT!
A Knockout Crosses the Line In Shocking Fashion
Awesome Kong was still not happy about the ambush attack from Taylor Wilde and Roxxi last week. So instead of walking away with the gold still intact, Kong and Raisha Saeed decided to ambush Roxxi in the back, leaving her broken and bloodied in the back. Wilde needed a partner, and Rhaka Khan decided to step up to help her out...or so we all thought.
As Wilde tagged in Khan, the two behemoths locked horns in the ring, but came to not flying fists. Khan instead turned around and shoved Wilde into a Implant Buster from Kong. Now all of a sudden, the most dominating Knockout just got more intense with the addition of Khan into the faction.
Sorry About Your Damn Luck!
Beer Money has a match this Sunday against the Motor City Machine Guns for the TNA World Tag Team Championships. But before that, they had to team with TNA Legends Champion Booker T to take on The Guns and Christian Cage. Despite a tough effort by the Guns, it took a double interference from Sharmell and Jacqueline to seal the victory for Beer Money and the Mafia Member. But BMI's night was just getting started.
Later on that night, a four way ladder match to determine the #1 Contenders for the TNA Tag Titles. Team 3D, LAX, The Monstrous Blueprint & Tanahashi and Volador representing New Japan & Luchador Wrestling respectively. Close to the conclusion of the match, it was Team 3D that looked to grab hold of the contract. But it was Beer Money that came out and destroyed 3D's chances of a match. Thanks to BMI, The Monstrous Blueprint managed to retrieve the contract.
The Main Event Mafia Will Face The Young Lions Club
All night, it's been about one thing and one thing only: The Balance of Power. Thanks to his interference last week, "The Hitman" Scott Steiner earned his place in the Main Event Mafia. But as he and the rest of group of old timers boasted about their impending celebration next week after Turning Point, The Young Lions Club had a surprise of their own in store. In fact, it was Samoa Joe that made the shocking announcement that MEM didn't believe was possible.
Christian Cage may have not chosen a side completely, but he did step up to fight the biggest and oldest members of TNA. But while Joe was screwed out of the fight in the main event, Sting made his fight with AJ Styles personal and Kurt Angle continued to attempt to goad Jeff Jarrett back into the ring.
As for Nash, he did his part by showing that the senior citizens didn't need their walkers for this party. Sorry, I can't bring myself to not wanting to call the AARP and having them put these guys back into the Senior Center where they belong.
If you can, tune in to this Sunday's TNA Turning Point! And while you guys are watching that, I'm going to wrestle in Denver. See you tonight for WWE SmackDown!
