WWE: The Top 7 Superstars Who Should Be Re-Signed by WWE

Jonathan BachJun 7, 2018

I've stated before that with the new Triple H era upon us, there will be some cuts, and there will be some new additions to the roster.

With the CM Punk situation and the new direction WWE is trying to go in, fans are waiting to see something new or something better than what WWE has now.

So that may be a range of things from more high flyers to more technical wrestlers to more tag teams.

This is the list of the top 7 superstars I feel would make a huge impact if they returned to WWE.

6 & 7: Paul London and Brian Kendrick

1 of 5

I'm sure I'll get a lot of heat for this first slide.

But let my justify this pick.

Paul London and Brian Kendrick were a great tag team. WWE hasn't had many small, high-flying tag teams in their history.

Obviously, WWE needs a major upgrade in the tag team division, and it would be very beneficial to bring back a team that once held the WWE Tag Team Championships.

And they were a real team. Not like two random wrestlers that got stuck with one another. They came as a package. And that makes them very useful for WWE, because they can keep their focus on being a tag team and nothing more.

4 & 5: Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas(AKA the World's Greatest Tag Team)

2 of 5

Yes, another tag team.

This is an established team which has held multiple tag team championships. And their re-signing is beneficial because of this:

Shelton Benjamin is capable of being a singles competitor (I actually like him more than Kofi Kingston). He had awesome matches at ECW when he was trying to capture the ECW Championship.

And they are another team that comes as a package. WWE needs real tag teams. And getting these veterans gives WWE time to develop and sign more teams.

The Kings of Wrestling are supposed to be coming to WWE soon. If WWE re-signed Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, they could have a legitimate feud for the tag team titles.

3. Muhammad Hassan

3 of 5

Muhammad Hassan is a long shot to return to WWE, but it would really upgrade the roster.

WWE has been trying to branch out to India and have Jinder Mahal and The Great Khali on the roster now. But they are not even close to Muhammad Hassan's level.

You could think back to the promo Muhammad Hassan cut after he sent out masked men to assault  Undertaker. And now think back to a few weeks ago, when CM Punk cut his amazing promo. They both spoke unscripted and spoke their minds.

Muhammad Hassan has a lot more in ring skill than Jinder Mahal.

The Great Khali is a monster but is not being used well at all.

Muhammad Hassan is the way to go. He can be a legit heel and put on good matches. This is more a plead. I almost want to beg WWE to bring him back.

2. Jeff Hardy

4 of 5

WWE needs another top face. Jeff Hardy is not doing to well over at TNA. It's a match made in heaven at this point.

Jeff Hardy is one of the most death-defying superstars we've ever seen. WWE could use a new person atop the WWE right now. Rey Mysterio was atop the WWE for about 10 seconds before they gave it back to John Cena. It's just a fact. People are tired of Randy Orton and John Cena.

And WWE is really a place where they know how to handle certain legal troubles and situations. So his legal troubles would not be much of a problem. Although it makes it harder for WWE to want to bring him back, the fact is he can draw.

1. Chris Jericho

5 of 5

This is something WWE NEEDS TO DO.

Bring Jericho back. He's been gone long enough and now that CM Punk re-signed with WWE, we know they could sign anyone they would like.

Chris Jericho is awesome on the mic and can be put in any situation and make it work.

He's another person that can be a legitimate superstar.

Some people in WWE, you look at them and wonder what they were thinking. But Chris Jericho is the total package.

Smackdown is really in need of another heel. I think Jericho feuding with Randy Orton is the best thing WWE could do for SmackDown right now.
