Arsene Wenger: Arsenal’s Grumpy Old Frenchman at it Again
Arsene Wenger is starting to sound like a desperate man, as his side continues to under-perform.
He only really has himself to blame, as in all honesty it was his great leadership that led to an over-achieving Arsenal side last season.
Changes made to that side in the summer were not sufficient enough to expect the same from what is almost a threadbare squad, and Arsene knows this as well as anyone.

That is why he is lashing out. This time it is Stoke City on the receiving end. What was their crime? Daring to beat Arsenal (2-0) of course.
Stoke were too physical he says. No, I’m sorry Arsene, Arsenal were too soft.
Yes, some of the tackles were a bit rash (on both sides I might add) but that is British football. Wenger has been here for over 12 years now, and coached Arsenal in a time when the Premier League was far less elegant and is therefore just coming across as a sour old Frenchman.
It was a shame to see Theo Walcott get injured but it was a freak accident. Rory Delap was merely doing what every player is taught from a young age. He was buying his side time to get back into position and it is seen in EVERY game of football.
Arsene, you are even grumpier than Alex Ferguson and that is saying something. Why not buy some players with a bit of steel instead of spouting drivel about being top of the fair play table?
Is he worried that will be their only route to Europe?
It may just be mind games but it won't influence the refereeing or Manchester United this weekend. Some say genius, I say pointless.
I see another year without glory for Arsenal and maybe just maybe, a future minus the Frenchman.
