Takeaways From SNME 44 ➡️
Triple H has always been good at building up matches. The buildup to his match with the Undertaker during the last Wrestlemania was short, but it got the job done and the match that followed was nothing short of amazing.
Triple H also "re-signed" CM Punk, clearly setting up a possible storyline for future fights.
Let's not forget that CM Punk is a talented wrestler as well, so it would be entertaining to watch them face off at Wrestlemania.
The Rock is already set to face John Cena at Wrestlemania—supposedly for the WWE Championship. So why not add one more major star to the card and bring in Stone Cold Steve Austin? Triple H may be well-known, but he's no Stone Cold.
Watching CM Punk and Stone Cold's personalities collide would make for great television. They would put on a humorous show and an entertaining fight, without the seriousness that Triple H brings to his fights.
A match against CM Punk and Stone Cold would highlight Punk's sarcastic humor by drawing attention to the clear age gap between the two wrestlers.
There wouldn't be much of a storyline though. Just a match. CM Punk and Stone Cold would just go against each other to see who comes out on top.
Stone Cold can definitely draw a crowd, so his return would increase Wrestlemania's ratings. Few fans are going to be anxious for the return of Triple H, but Stone Cold to returning to the ring? Now that's exciting.
Either way, CM Punk is going to put on a good show at Wrestlemania.
Now I know it won't happen, but I would love to see a Vengeance vs. Chris Jericho kind of night at Wrestlemania.
CM Punk could defend his title against Austin.
Cena could defend his title against the Rock.
Then a unification match for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Yeah, I'll keep dreaming.
