Reds Survival With Or Without El Nino

One big question on the lips of probably all Liverpool fans right now is "When will we see Fernando Torres back in action?"
I wish like many that I had an answer, however there was a really noticeable Torres sized hole in both the line up and subs bench listing on Tuesday.....reason.....his confidence is low.
Maybe this was wise, maybe not only time will tell.....obviously Fernando himself does not wish to return to action until he feels perfectly ready and assured that he will not suffer a recurrence of his hamstring injury which has kept him out for 4 weeks now.
One thing is for sure, when he returns and starts scoring goals again there will be a mass sigh of relief from all Liverpool fans nationwide.
Recent form has been mixed; following a dodgy start to the season where we saw a team grinding out results and winning when playing beneath their best, we know see a team playing some exquisite football that seem to be missing a certain killing instinct in front of goal.
Yes we have won games but we also lost a game at Spurs wish we should so easily have won as we dominated so much of the game; an extremely unlucky equalizer allowed the home side back in when they should have been wishing for the final whistle....where has the instinct gone to kill games off....why can we not score goals? These must be questions constantly in and out of Rafa’s head...I am sure that the results in recent games will be seriously troubling the boss as the way we have been playing these are games that should have been won easily.
My hope is that we will see Fernando return on Saturday against West Brom; I hope and pray he gets back into the scoring regime pdq and instils his confidence in front of goal back into the rest of the squad.
We can no longer rely solely on Steven Gerrard to be our goal scorer.....Xabi has as usual been superb, Mascherano is and probably always will be a rock in the heart of our midfield....we are merely lacking in fire power in front of goal...Robbie Keane is yet to show us his goal scoring prowess...roll on when that starts and god help the competition when it does.
