Floyd Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz HBO Face Off Premieres Tonight

According to a press release from the executive producers of HBO, the Floyd Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz Face Off premieres tonight—Wednesday, July 27—on HBO at 9:45 p.m. ET/PT:

Moderated by Max Kellerman, Face Off is a gripping interview session in which the two fighters face off and answer questions. The format enables them to deliver a message to each other as well as their fans.

The Mayweather/Ortiz extended version of Face Off is set to air multiple times on HBO and HBO2. ...

Face Off will also be available on the HBO On Demand service, HBO GO and at www.hbo.com/boxing, as well as various other new media platforms that distribute the series.

Mayweather vs. Ortiz takes place Saturday, Sept. 17 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be produced and distributed live by HBO pay-per-view beginning at 9 p.m. ET, 6 p.m. PT.

For those of us who have seen the Mayweather/Ortiz Face Off teaser trailer, we see a more confident and serious Ortiz, who is usually all smiles and playing the nice guy role, staring down Mayweather and telling him he will not lose.

Mayweather explains he was born for this—to fight on this level—and Ortiz cuts him off and says he does not care.

Mayweather then explains—as he usually does before each fight—that 41 tried and 41 failed. Ortiz again interrupts him and says not this one.

This will definitely be one of the best Face Offs we have ever seen, since both have been holding their own in the in the teaser trailer.

HBO's 24/7 for Mayweather and Ortiz is set to begin in August as well.
