Paul Posluszny: Potential FA Destinations After NFL Lockout

Eli NachmanyJun 7, 2018

Paul Posluszny should be one of the most sought-after free agents in the upcoming offseason and look for the linebacker to provide quality service to whatever team signs him.

Posluszny plans to test the free agent market and his big-name free agent status should land him offers from around the league.

Look for the linebacker to have no shortage of interest when free agency begins and here are a few possible destinations for Posluszny.

New York Giants

This could have been a lock until this morning, when the Giants signed top undrafted free agent Mark Herzlich.

I break down the Herzlich signing here and also detail what this could mean for the Giant linebacker group in the upcoming week.

As for the former Bill, Posluszny-to-the-Giants may have died with the Herzlich signing, but it's still worth monitoring.

Jacksonville Jaguars

2 of 4

The Jaguars have a developing need at the inside linebacker position and could use a pick-me-up like Posluszny to bolster the group.

Jacksonville's defense needs to be tighter in 2011 if this team wants to hold a playoff spot down the stretch.

'Poz' may not have much experience in playoff runs, but he's talented enough to cover the experience gap.

Detroit Lions

3 of 4

Posluszny knows what it means to buy into a program despite past failures and signing him could turn the Lions' fortunes around.

The team needs a true middle linebacker so that DeAndre Levy may move outside and Posluszny could be just the guy.

Look for the Lions to make a play at this talented young linebacker.

Paul Posluszny doesn't know anything other than being a Buffalo Bill and he may end up right back home when the free agency process is all done.

The Penn State product is a local hero in the small city and won't have to get adjusted to a new group of players or weather environment.

The Bills will try hard to resign one of their defense's core players and don't be surprised if Posluszny returns.
