Boston Bruins Play the Next Four Out of Five Against Original Six Teams

The Boston Bruins will play the next four out of five games against original six teams. 

Starting this Thursday, the Bruins (6-3-3, 15pts third place in Northeast Conference) take on the surging Toronto Maple Leafs (5-4-3, 13 pts fourth place in Northeast Conference) at the TD Bank North Garden.  The Bruins will try to even the series up at one game apiece after dropping a heart breaker 4-2 on October 23rd in Boston.

The Bruins will then welcome the first place Buffalo Sabres (8-2-2, first place in Northeast Conference) in what will promise to be a fast paced, rock'em sock'em hockey game.  The Bruins will try to even this series at one game a piece after losing to the Sabres in a shootout on October 21, 2008.

Next the Bruins will hit the road to play three games in four nights against three original six teams.  The first game will be on Wednesday November 12th against the Chicago Blackhawks in Chicago.  This will be the first of two meetings this season.  This should be a great game with a lot of young players showing off their talents.

The Bruins will fly back from Chicago and play the Montreal Canadiens the very next night.  This will be interesting as the Bruins will be playing back to back and trying to tie up the series at one for a little revenge from their shootout loss the first time they met this season on October 15th.

The Bruins will get a night off and then head to Madison Square Garden where they will take on the solid New York Rangers who have 21 points.  This team looks to be playing at a very high level and will be a good test for the Bruins to see how they stack up to one of the best teams in the league.

Now that October is in the past it is time to start looking forward to at least the next five games all of which will give the Bruins a better indication of what kind of team the Bruins will be as they move deeper into the season.

Original six games are very special games that have a lot of meaning for the players.  The players all enjoy it and with the level of play the original six teams listed in this article are playing, the next five games are going to be a hockey fan's dream to watch.
