San Francisco 49ers Faithful: Are You Ready for Some Football?
According to several inside sources from both the NFL and the NFLPA, the NFL lockout will end this week and free agency will open on Monday July, 25th. Look for an entertaining couple weeks ahead.
Offices of sports agents like Scott Smith of XAM Sports or Drew Rosenhaus are going to look like the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) before the closing bell. Not to say players will be going far, but agents will be busy operating within the small window of time.
There will be blockbuster signings, but for the most part, the lockout will influence a lot of guys to stay put. It will also make teams stick with some familiar faces when they normally would not. Perfect example—Alex Smith.
