NFL Week 9 Review Pt. 1

Ryan GaydosNov 3, 2008

Jets 26, Bills 17

The New York Jets gained some confidence in their effort to win the AFC East. Brett Favre led the Jets with 201 passing yards but did not throw a TD pass. Thomas Jones ran for a touchdown. Bills’ Trent Edwards threw two interceptions and a TD pass to tight end Derek Fine. Jay Feely would seal the deal with a field goal.

Bears 27, Lions 23

The Lions were impressive but fell short to Chicago. Dan Orlovsky was 28/47 with 292 yards and two touchdown passes. One to Calvin Johnson the other to Shaun McDonald. However the Bears would over come the Lions offense and win. Kyle Orton got injured with a high ankle sprain and is expected to be out for a month. Rex Grossman came in and threw a TD pass to Rashied Davis.

Bengals 21, Jaguars 19

The Bengals picked up their first win and are still technically in playoff contention. Ryan Fitzpatrick finally had a good game throwing two touchdown passes both to Chad Ocho Cinco-Johnson. Cedric Benson also ran for a touchdown. The once dominating and fearful Jaguars team is now just looking like a bunch of pussy cats out there. Maurice Jones-Drew scored a touchdown late, but they could not score the two point conversion.
