NFL Week Nine Review: Giants March Towards Another Playoff Run!

Thomas MorelandNov 2, 2008

The New York Giants made short work of the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday November 2nd. 4 turnovers by Dallas early in the proceedings doomed the Cowboys to another disappointing game as they lost 35-14. They are now last in the NFC East and might struggle to even make the playoffs.

Tampa Bay won a thriller against Kansas City who can t seem to finish  a game over their last two attempts. This was one , if not the biggest comebacks the Bucs have ever had winning in overtime 30-27. Kansas City will improve next year with young players and experience level.

Atlanta is turning into a play-off contender right before our eyes.they shut out Oakland 24-0 as the entire Defense received a game ball this week! Atlanta is now 5-3 for the season.

Philadelphia was down early but quickly came back to subdue Seattle on the road 20-7. Philadelphia is now 5-3 and at home next week against the Giants.

The Miami Dolphins are the league s biggest surprise improving to 4-4 in Denver winning 26-17. If this team wins 7 or 8 games Tony Sporano is Coach of the Year!

Minnesota took care of Houston as expected 28-21 improving to 4-4. Houston returns home next week against Baltimore with a record od 3-5. Minnesota hosts Green Bay  next week. Green Bay is also 4-4.

Arizona handled St. Louis with no problem 34-13  and will win their division which is probably the weakest in the NFL.

As predicted last week Cincinnati won against Jacksonville 21-19 for the 1st victory of the season. Jacksonville drops to 3-5 and plays Detroit next week!

Chicago came back to beat the Lions 27-23 as Matt Forte ran for 154 yards and Orton and Grossman split the quarterback duties for average yards in the win.

Tennessee went into overtime against the Packers to win 19-16 and stay unbeaten. Look for that to change against the  Bears next week. Tennessee might drop their next one in Chicago!

The Baltimore Ravens won as expected against Cleveland 37-27 as Joe Flacco and the offense of this team continues to improve!

Brett Favre only threw 1 interception in a  big division win over Buffalo 26-17. Trent Edwards threw two interceptions which was the difference. Favre was 19 for 28 passes in a conservative attack while Edwards was 24 for 35 for 289 yards, but the turnovers were costly!

This week i went 10-3  with Pittsburgh picked to win against the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football.  With that victory i will have a record of 78-52 hopefully.

Indy is up on  New England in the late game and in a must win situation! I believe Indy will get this one!
