Tiger Woods' Beard and the 7 Worst Style Choices of Eldrick's Career

Tiger Woods is usually a pretty good dresser.

He usually maintains a conservative outfit that does have some regularity. 

Tiger is famous for always wearing dark red on Sundays, to symbolize power and victory. 

But being so predictable in your outfits does have it's downfalls. Every time Tiger veers away from what is conventional, the media scrutinizes him to no end. 

Here are seven of the most questionable styles Tiger Woods has worn in his career, whether they are by his choice or not.

2010 Masters: Goatee

Unveiling a new-look Tiger Woods by growing a goatee may have been a mistake. 

The change was nice, however, he kind of gives off a Larry the Cable Guy vibe. 

I am unsure if the goatee was a move made in spite of Gillette, who had recently pulled out of their sponsorship with Woods. But this is the Masters, the most prestigious event in golf. You just can't show up with a dirty old goatee. 

1997 Masters

I don't know what it is, but I do not like the sweater Tiger wore during the final round of the 1997 Masters. 

The sweater appeared to be three sizes too big. Tiger you're loaded, can you at least get your free clothes to fit?

Such a terrible outfit for such an iconic moment.

2010 Ryder Cup

The rain suits from the 2010 Ryder Cup also make a stop on this list. 

It wasn't quite like Janet Jackson's, but these suits did produce a wardrobe malfunction. 

The players complained that the suits were holding the water, rather than repelling it. 

Corey Pavin had to go into the Celtic Manor pro shop and buy 20 new jackets for his teammates. 

The suits were also criticized because of their look. Butch Harmon was open in saying they looked like they should be part of a basketball team, not a golf tournament. 

1999 Ryder Cup

I don't know who thought this shirt was a good idea, but they were sadly mistaken. 

Granted this shirt, from the singles matches of the 1999 Ryder cup, was not his choice, it's still terrible. 

"The Miracle at Brookline" is one of the most famous moments from any Ryder Cup. It's a shame the video showcases team USA in these shirts.

1994 U.S. Amateur

I don't care how old you are, these kinds of hats do not look good on anyone. 

Tiger did wear some other questionable hats during the 1994 U.S. Amateur, however, there are no images of them.

2006 Buick Invitational

This shirt was what Tiger wore for the final round of the 2006 Buick Invitational. 

Usually on Sunday, Tiger wears a dark-red shirt. This is, to the best of my knowledge, the only exception to this rule. 

This is not an ugly shirt by any means, it's just that people tune in on Sunday to see Tiger in the traditional red shirt. They did not get it for the 2006 Buick Invitational. 

Bearded Woods

I am very undecided on the new-look Tiger Woods. 

On one hand, the bearded Tiger is a symbol of change, something Tiger needs a lot of to get his career back on track. 

On the other hand, the beard looks patchy and pretty ugly. 

Overall verdict—the beard should fill in and then it will be a good look.
