MMA Dream Fights That Aren't Worth $49.95....

There are many articles about dream match-ups, hell i've even written a few myself. But this particular article is about those matches that you'd like to see, you may even love to see, but would be best suited as a WEC main event.

They may even be best at a Ultimate Fight Night,as the main attraction. But either way you twist it they aren't good enough to make this guy spend $49.95 to see them fight. This list includes WEC,EXC,UFC,And other random fighters. ENJOY!!!

Jake Shields vs. Carlos Condit

This fight would be pretty good,considering they are both WW champions,well shields was a WW champion,but that's beside the point. They have similar styles,and I think would be even matched.

Condit is obviously the favorite, but Shields is a stud and shouldn't be over looked. Both men against each other on a WEC card! MMA fans would be in heaven. Maybe it could happen somewhere down the road,lets hope!

Robbie Lawler vs. David Loiseau

This may seem odd, but I recently came across a thread about "The Crow" and it made me look up some videos of his fights. He is an exciting fighter, who is an all around solid dude. Lawler is a devastating striker, and a (Current/Former) MW champion.

Loiseau is looking to get back into the UFC,and i think Lawler is also headed that direction. Maybe an Ultimate Fight Night Main Event?

Jens Pulver vs. Urijah Faber 2

Yes, some people may hate this pick, but I loved the first right. Jens was completely dominated, yet he still stuck it out five rounds, the first time someone has done that with Faber.

Urijah is in a class of his own, and will almost certainly beat Jens again, but it would be fun to watch. Both men have seen was the other has got, and who knows, maybe Jens can sneak that infamous left to the chin of Faber.

Amir Sadollah vs. Kendall Grove

Two TUF winners facing off,both men were fan favorites of the show,and i think would be a good match. I know Grove has WAY more experience than Sadollah, but I didn't set a time table for this fight, it could happen 2010 and I'd still watch it (for free).

Ultimate Fighter season 10 or 11 finale anyone?

Jamie Varner vs. Nate Diaz

WEC lightweight champion against an up and coming UFC fighter. Sounds good right? Diaz is a beast,and Varner looks solid,both would test each other,and it will most likely not see a decision.

I like Varner, but i don't think he can handle Diaz on the ground, and on the other hand, I don't think Diaz can handle Varner's stand up. It would be interesting to watch though.WEC of UFC doesn't matter i'd watch regardless.

Steve Cantwell vs. Keith Jardine

Both men like to strike,and both men have pretty good chins(Discard UFC 84). Cantwell is the current WEC LHW Champion,and Jardine is a LHW contender in the UFC. Cantwell can solidify his place in the UFC with a win over Jardine.

I think both guys have a bright future,and would be an exciting match. I think it would end via referee stoppage,but it could go the distance. You never know,but I'm thinking Ultimate Fight Night.

Paulo Filho vs. Chris Leben

I know Paulo is a great fighter, and don't get me wrong, I would pay money to see him fight, but I would like him to come in the UFC much like Anderson did. Knocking out Chris Leben!

This fight would be good because Leben would feel like he has something to prove. He already got demolished by Anderson Silva, now he's facing one of his good friends and training partners. Paulo would win (hopefully), and that would set him up for a big PPV match, and maybe a title shot.

Rob McCullough vs. Kenny Florian

Two good lightweights both with contrasting styles. Florian would like to go to the ground,McCullough would like to trade. This would be a very entertaining fight,both men are fighting for a title shot. This would be a great test for both men as well. Now it would have to be a WEC special event of UFC special event, but it could happen... Right?
