College basketball is filled with all sorts of personalities and characters in the coaching ranks.
Many schools rally behind their team's coach and use them as a symbol for their program.
Many of those same coaches are beloved by the fans and players, but who are the most beloved coaches in the country?
Here is a list of the most beloved coaches in the country.
10. Bill Self
1 of 10While Bill Self may be disliked among Illinois fans, he is beloved in Kansas.
Self has a record of 236-46 at KU and has won the Big 12 seven times.
Self has won a single National Championship but that is a lot more than most coaches can say.
Self has had some recent struggles in the NCAA tournament which has slowed fans from loving him like they did in 2008.
Still, fans will support coach Bill Self and as long as he brings them winning teams and his stock should raise over the next few years.
9. Bob Huggins
2 of 10Bob Huggins is a perfect match for West Virginia.
He played there as a player and his personality matches up with the hard working, no nonsense attitude of the state overall.
While Huggins is a tough coach, he loves his players and his players love him back, which always goes over well with fans.
Huggins has a record of 101-42 at West Virginia and reached the Final Four in 2008.
8. Jim Boeheim
3 of 10Jim Boeheim is one of the best college basketball coaches of all time and one of the most beloved.
Boeheim has a record of 856-301 and is currently seventh in all time wins.
Boeheim has had such a long coaching tenure at Syracuse and after starting there in 1976, has cemented his legacy as an all time great and an all time beloved coach.
7. John Calipari

While Calipari hasn't won an NCAA National Championship, he is constantly improving the teams he coaches and rebuilding programs.
Calipari is 467-151 all time and his only building on those numbers.
Calipari has turned around every team he has coached for and fans love anyone who they can call a savior.

10 of 10While this may be a shocker to some, Brad Stevens is the most beloved coach in college basketball.
Stevens has put the tiny school of Butler on the map after taking them to back to back National Championship games.
Butler lost both games but the impact they left may have changed college basketball forever.
Brad Stevens brought the fans of Butler something they never thought they would have, a title contender and national spotlight.
Fans love underdogs and Brad Stevens and Butler are the ultimate underdogs.
