TNA: Is There a New Order Within the Tag-Team Ranks with Crimson and Matt Morgan

David LevinJun 23, 2011

Finally, there is a calling for Matt Morgan.

While the 7'0'' wonder is part of the "Bound For Glory" series, it was a tag-team match that showed Morgan still has some merit within the organization.

Morgan teamed with Crimson (which is the match I was hoping for in terms of size and talent) to face Beer Money as part of the title tournament. The two statues were solid in their appearance, gaining the victory over the world tag champions.

Don't let the fact that Bobby Roode was still nursing an injured shoulder fool you. This was a match that the "twin towers" dominated. Even with the younger Crimson in the match, Beer Money had its moments but could not match the raw strength from their opponents.

Much has been made about both Morgan and Crimson, but in different contexts.

While Crimson is undefeated and has been on the rise, winning matches over Matt Hardy and Samoa Joe, Morgan has been mired in a mid-level status with many insiders wondering if he could ever be the champion he is supposed to be.

The two complimented each other well, which gives me cause to think that this will be a team of the future.

IMPACT was solid for the third week in a row. There were solid matches, solid interviews (especially Velvet Sky and her shoot before her match with Miss Tessmacher against Jackie and ODB).

You've got to love a woman who speaks her mind and looks good in black and white.

While the tag matches were two of the highlights of the evening, there was cause for concern for the future of Fortune and the success of Immortal growing in numbers.

At Destination X, Christopher Daniels shocked everyone when he challenged his best friend AJ Styles to a match. It was Daniels who can back to the company to join Immortal when Styles was out with an injured spine. The challenge was so shocking; it gave Kazarian cause for concern. Daniels assured his partner there was nothing to worry about.

I guess this means there will be a face change at the next pay-per-view.

Also, after the match between Bully Ray and Scott Steiner, where Bully Ray sued a chain to knock Steiner out and gain the win, Steiner stormed into Ray's locker room, and after tearing up the room, the former world champion was offered an opportunity to join Immortal.

Stay tuned.

All of this and there was still more strange dealings with Sting and an X-Division match that provided more excitement.

Yes, the writers and executives might know what they are doing after all.
