Real Madrid: Hamit Altintop to Undergo Lower Back Surgery
According to a breaking news segment published on Real Madrid's website, Hamit Altintop (midfielder) is expected to undergo lower back surgery during his vacation. The surgery is designed to resolve the prolapsed disc in his lower back which did not respond to conservative treatment.
The news comes at a time when Real Madrid signed Altintop from Bayern Munich in May 2011. The management recommended that Altintop receive his surgery during his vacation.
If all goes well, Altintop will be ready to start with Real Madrid during the 2011-2012 La Liga season. Altintop had an impressive record during the 2010-2011 Bundesliga season with Bayern Munich.
