NBA Trade Rumors: San Antonio Spurs Fielding Offers to Trade Tony Parker

Tony Parker's days in San Antonio may be numbered.

Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the Spurs are currently fielding offers to possibly trade Parker in exchange for a high lottery pick.

The teams involved include the Toronto Raptors and Sacramento Kings, who hold the fifth and seventh overall pick in Thursday's upcoming NBA Draft.

Parker, a former first-round pick and the 2007 NBA Finals MVP, spent the 2010-11 season in a place most Spurs players often never find themselves, under the spotlight due to off-the-court issues.

In November, Parker and his Hollywood wife Eva Longoria filed for divorce after reports surfaced that he was cheating on Longoria with another woman. The off-court spotlight is something never associated with the San Antonio Spurs, but for Parker, the cloud of divorce and deception hung on for part of the season. The divorce was finalized in January.

After the Spurs got off to a fast start and finished with the best record in the West, Parker stunned Spurs nation with his admission that the 2010-11 season was probably the last chance for the Spurs to win any more titles.

If the Spurs were to pull the trigger and trade Parker, George Hill could assume duties as the full time point guard.

In the meantime, the Spurs willingness to possibly trade Parker isn't new. For years, the Spurs tried to trade Parker and even engaged in talks with the New Jersey Nets to acquire Jason Kidd for Parker.

The trade never happened and Parker went on to win three NBA Titles.
