Tampa Bay Buccaneers Will Not Sign Tiki or Plax or Any Over-the-Hill Losers

Stop it, stop it right now, just cut it out.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have no interest in signing turds like Tiki Barber, Plaxico Burress or any other over-the-hill, beat-up, tired sad sacks, losers, locker-room cancers and what have you.

Stop it, stop it, there is plenty of talent on this team, there is no need for has-beens.

Mark Dominik and Raheem Morris won't do it. It would make more sense for them to poke themselves in the eye with a sharp stick.

To suggest such nonsense, well, why don't you go out and do something really intelligent like paying $10,000 for that 1999 Taurus with 150,000 miles on it? Yeah, that would make a lot more sense.

To even suggest someone like Tiki 'da Turd is an insult to Cadillac Williams. Yes, Caddy, the ultimate worker, ultimate team guy, a guy who's given his heart and soul to this team.

Oh, you can bet there's some nice rookie free-agent talent out there that would make more sense for a lot less money.

Anyone check veteran minimum dollars out there lately?

It simply doesn't make sense and this team has built itself on draft choices and free-agent signings that make a whole lot of sense.

The team has receivers out the gazoo, and nice weapons they are. Yeah, they need Plaxico like they need that '99 Taurus.

As for Tiki, forget him. He is what he is, he's Ronde's twin and at least the Buccaneers have the twin who can still play.

So before we throw out these ridiculous propositions, shouldn't we first hope that there will be some resolution to the hard-to-bear lockout?

It's getting down the the wire, ladies and gentlemen. We're nine days away from the end of June, which would normally mean a fast 30 days until camps open.

And we've got nothing.

It's pure nonsense and it makes about as much sense as Tiki Barber and Plaxico Burress.
