Dwayne Bowe's Best Touchdowns (With Videos) for the Kansas City Chiefs
Dwayne Bowe is the most electrifying receiver on the Kansas City Chiefs roster and is coming off one of the best seasons ever for a wideout in franchise history.
He was recently ranked No. 45 in the league in the NFL Network's version of their top 100 players going into the '11 season.
Over the course of his four-year NFL career, he has also made some amazing touchdown catches as a Chief.
For this special feature, I decided to examine D-Bowe's best touchdown catches of his tumultuous NFL career.
Enjoy.
10. 1-Yard TD Reception vs. Bills (2010)
1 of 10I just have one word for this touchdown: hurricane.
If you have seen the Matt Cassel/Todd Haley mic'd up video for this game, than you will know exactly what I mean.
Bowe also shows that you can't give him too much space or he will burn your cornerbacks like he did on this play against Buffalo last year.
9. 1-Yard TD Reception vs. Cardinals (2010)
2 of 10Bowe runs one of the best routes of his career in this touchdown reception.
He completely fools the Arizona Cardinals secondary as he gets behind them for a one-yard score last season.
Afterword, he was praised by multiple NFL analysts for his great route-running on this play alone.
8. 17-Yard TD Reception vs. Texans (2010)
3 of 10Bowe shows that he can take a hit and still make a nice catch in this touchdown versus the Texans from last season.
He receives the pass from Cassel, and then is blind-sided by former-Chief Bernard "The Bonecrusher" Pollard, only to end up with the ball in his hands when the play is over.
Bowe's ability to take hits after the catch is another reason why he is becoming an elite receiver in this league.
7. 6-Yard TD Reception vs. Jaguars (2010)
4 of 10This TD really shows off Dwayne's 35" vertical as a receiver.
After a bad pass by Cassel, Bowe goes up and somehow snares it out of the sky, while barely getting two feet in-bounds before he goes down.
If I had two words to describe this catch it would be: simply amazing.
6. 45-Yard TD Reception vs. 49ers (2010)
5 of 10In the only tricky play on this list, Bowe finishes it up nicely with a touchdown catch at the end.
The Chiefs decided to do a little trickery when they played San Francisco last year.
They put RB Thomas Jones in the shotgun, who then handed it off to a crossing Dexter McCluster, who flipped it back to QB Matt Cassel. Cassel then fired it a wide open Bowe in the back of the end zone for one of the most impressive TDs in Chiefs history.
5. 7-Yard TD Reception vs. Chargers (2009)
6 of 10Sometimes, Dwayne Bowe will make a catch that will make your head spin.
This was one of those type of catches.
He makes an excellent sideline grab while somehow keeping both feet in against the Chargers a couple seasons ago.
4. 16-Yard TD Reception vs. Bears (2007)
7 of 10In Bowe's first touchdown as a pro, he literally took the ball away from future Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez.
On a play that was designed to go to Gonzo, Bowe made a leaping circus catch in the back of the end zone against Chicago.
It is easily D-Bowe's most acrobatic TD catch to date.
3. 19-Yard TD Reception vs. Colts (2007)
8 of 10In one of the few TD connections that they have had with one another, Chiefs QB Brodie Croyle hooks up with Bowe for this score against the Colts back in '07.
Bowe displays great footwork and concentration as he hauls in the pass in the back corner of the end zone.
This touchdown catch was just one of many great TDs that Bowe has had during his Chiefs tenure.
2. 53-Yard TD Reception vs. Jaguars (2010)
9 of 10Other than his TD against the Titans last year, this is one of his most complete touchdowns in his pro career.
The two poor defenders for the Jaguars get burned by Bowe twice on this play as he makes them like look they're a Pop Warner defense.
This is another one of Bowe's touchdowns that I could watch over and over again.
1. 75-Yard TD Reception vs. Titans (2010)
10 of 10In easily the longest touchdown of Bowe's NFL career, he burns the Tennessee Titans for a 75-yard score on this play.
He displays great route-running ability and speed as he makes the catch and almost runs away from at least four Titans defenders on the play.
This TD signifies the Pro Bowl talents of Dwayne Bowe.
