The 10 Best Fighters to Come Out of TUF House

Jessy MorrisOct 27, 2008

After seven seasons of TUF and 11 different winners, some great fighters have came out of this house and into the UFC octagon. Here's a list of the 10 best fighters to come out of this house, of course fighters from season four are excluded because they were all veterans before even entering TUF house. So here we go...

10. TUF Season OneChris Leben

Leben is one of the toughest guys to come out of TUF house. He's a very popular fighter for his style and his attitude. He isn't afarid to bang with anybody and has some of the best hands in his division.

Chris Leben changed alot since TUF season one, he's been sober for several months now and he's in better shape now then he has ever been.

9. TUF Season FiveNate Diaz

He's the younger brother of Nick Diaz, so we knew right away he was gonna be tough. He's undefeated since coming to the UFC, he has yet to prove he is one of the best to come out of TUF house, but he won against very good opponents.

It's just a matter of time before he challenges for the lightweight title, if he continues on the winning streak of course.

8. TUF Season OneMike Swick

Some people may not consider him of of the best to come out of TUF, but the fact is, Mike Swick has a great record in the UFC. With a record of 7-1, Swick defeated some of the best middleweights in the UFC.

Even if we haven't seen him much since he dropped to 170, I still predict some great things to come for Mike Swick.

7. TUF Season TwoKeith Jardine

This guy is a great fighter who has had a roller coaster career in the UFC, still he never complains and fights all comers. With victories over both Forrest Griffin and Chuck Liddell, Jardine is without a doubt a very talented and tough fighter.

Whether he will ever make it to the top of the light-heavyweight division is up to him, but he has the ability to do it.

6. TUF Season OneDiego Sanchez

Sanchez is without a doubt one of the oddest fighters coming out of TUF but his skills are undeniable.

He suffered back to back losses to Josh Koscheck and Jon Fitch, but Diego is still young and still one of the top fighters in the welterweight division.

5. TUF Season ThreeMichael Bisping

Like him or not, Michael Bisping overcame the odds and became TUF champion on season three. He has a very impressive record, losing only to Rashad Evans and Matt Hamill (yeah I know it's not really a loss but I think so anyway).

He's been impressive at 185 pounds, although I still believe he hasn't been tested in that weight class.

4. TUF Season OneJosh Koscheck

Nobody improved his game on any season more than Josh Koscheck. On season one, he was a wrestler, since then he has improved his stand-up and his ground game.

I feel sky is the limit for Koscheck and feel he will improve even more in the future and maybe become a champion.

3. TUF Season OneKenny Florian

Kenny Florian has been very dominant in the lightweight division. On season 1 of TUF, he competed in the middleweight division when he's actually a lightweight and he still made it in the finals.

He's a close as he can get from a title shot, whether he can beat BJ Penn for the gold is the ultimate question.

2. TUF Season TwoRashad Evans

Nobody thought he was gonna win, nobody even saw him in the finals of TUF, but he made it happen and guess what... he's undefeated since then.

His victory over Chuck Liddell surprised every but me and it put him in title contention. Now at UFC 92, he will fight UFC light-heavyweight champion...

1. TUF Season OneForrest Griffin

Without a doubt, the best fighter to come out of TUF house in any season (but season four). He is the original winner and the first one to become a champion. He is one of the hardest working fighters in all of MMA and has the heart and dedication of a gladiator.

Will he stay champion for long? who knows, but he deserves it and maybe he will surprise everybody by staying champion for a while.

Alot of other fighters have came out of TUF house and graced us with their great performances inside the octagon. Fighters like Joe Lauzon, Stephen Bonnar, Nate Quarry, Gray Maynard and Matt Hamill are very good but they didn't make the top 10. Who knows maybe they will become great someday.
