My New Top 25 and This Week’s Pops ‘n Drops
There are no changes in my top four. Last week I had a one-loss Florida (3) ahead of a no-loss Alabama (4), and I maintain my ranking this week, especially considering the trouble Alabama had with a weak Tennessee and the way Florida just destroyed Kentucky.
Mark my words! There is no way this season that Alabama will beat the Gators.
Despite being the USC Community Leader and admitting that the Trojans have the best defense in all of college football, I had Texas Tech jumping them. Tech is now at No. 5 and USC at No. 6. You can thank Graham Harrell (my offensive player of the week) and Mark Sanchez (my disappointing player of the week) for that.
Harrell was 34 of 42 for 386 yards with five TDs and no interceptions.
POPS
More pops include Oklahoma, Georgia, Utah, Boise State, TCU, Florida State, BYU, Missouri, Ball State, and Minnesota. I had to move North Carolina back into the Top 25 after they blasted Boston College. That meant I also had to put a three-loss Virginia in the Top 25 since they beat North Carolina last week and Georgia Tech this week.
