Part Three: UFC Middleweight Tournament
Part three of five of the Middleweight Tournament. FYI: I have Dan Henderson and Rich Franklin as 185 because I believe that is what they are best at.

First Fight: Anderson Silva vs. Kendall Grove (The Battling Spyders)
The referee signals and the fight is on. Anderson Silva jumps right on Kendall giving him no time to defend, landing powerful punches. After 35 seconds of being dominated standing up, Grove shoots in, only to meet a knee to the face.
He then collapses. Silva is on him almost instantly. He is dropping bombs. Grove is noticeably hurt. He is now bleeding from his forehead. Silva then traps Grove in an arm bar. Grove tries to get out but only tightens it up. He will eventually tap out.
Result: Anderson Silva Wins By Arm Bar Submission (Round 1)
Second Fight:Yushin Okami vs. Patrick Cote
This fight starts slow, with both fighter not really doing anything. Cote lands some punches, but that's all. With 3:00 left in the round, Okami tries a front kick to Cote's midsection. He lands it, catching Cote by surprise. He fails to follow it up, leaving time for Cote to rest. Okami is passive, and Cote is chasing him around. The round ends, leaving the fans booing very loud. 10-9 Cote
Second round starts and Okami starts to trade shots with Cote but ends up on the short end. As Cote lands countless jabs on Okami, his eye starts to develop a mouse under it. Cote notices and starts targeting it.
"The Predator" is living up to his nickname, Okami definitely looks like prey at the moment. Cote is still being the aggressive one, stalking Okami around the octagon. Finally willing to trade again, Okami lands a left hook on Cote, stunning him, but doesn't capitalize. The round is over. 10-9 Cote
Third round starts and the crowd is still booing. Both men stand in the center and trade punches. Okami eventually takes Cote down. While in full mount, from the bottom, Cote is trying for a triangle choke. He will keep trying for a couple minutes. 2:32 left in the round, Cote finally catches Okami in a triangle. He is forced to tap out.
Result: Cote Wins By Triangle Choke Submission (Round Three)
Third Fight: Rich Franklin vs. Michael Bisbing
This fight starts fast, as both men are landing leg kick after leg kick on each other. Franklin lands a nasty leg kick on Bisbing, making him nurse it throughout the round, but Bisbing is still landing hooks and jabs.
Franklin shoots in on Bisbing, but Bisbing isn't giving in and stays on his feet. Franklin is aggravated at this point. Bisbing leaps for a flying knee and connects. Franklin looks unfazed, but the crowd goes wild. Franklin then catches Bisbing with another leg kick, hurting his leg even more. But Bisbing will get to rest; the round is over. 10-9 Bisbing
Franklin come out the second round on a mission, targeting Bisbing's leg. Bisbing is trying his hardest to keep his leg out of harm's way but, Franklin is still able to land a few shots on it. Franklin takes Bisbing down and is pretty much under control. Bisbing has a good guard going.
Franklin is attempting to advance his position ,but in the end, the ref stands them up. Bisbing, who has gotten a chance to rest his leg, is looking more alive. He then throws an upper-cut, knocking Franklin's mouthpiece out. The referee stops the fight and lets Franklin put it back in. By now, there is 10 seconds left. Both men throw some lazy jabs; the round is over. 10-9 Bisbing
Third round shows a confident Bisbing being more aggressive, moving forward on Franklin. But Franklin shows Bisbing why he was a champion and lands a jaw-shattering right that sends Bisbing crashing down on the mat.
Franklin doesn't get off that easy. Bisbing defends the beastly ground and pound put on by Franklin. He manages to survive that round. 10-9 Franklin
Result: Michael Bisbing Wins By Split Decision 29-28, 28-29, 29-28
Fourth and Final Fight of the First Round: Dan Henderson vs. Nate Marquardt
This is my favorite match of the first round!
First round starts and Hendo goes straight for the takedown and gets it. Marquardt is working from the bottom relentlessly. Henderson is also staying busy, dropping hammer fists. Both men are trying to score points, but Henderson lands two big elbows in a row.
Marquardt is now cut, but he is also delivering elbows and has also opened up the top of Hendo's head. Time winds down and the bell rings. Both men are bloody and tired. 10-9 Henderson
Second round starts and both men's cuts are pretty much under control, although Marquardt's is still leaking. Henderson lands a BIG right hook that makes the crowd erupt!
Henderson wastes no time. He follows with a flurry of lefts and rights. Most are landing; Marquardt is in big trouble. He drops and Henderson smells victory. He keeps on with the punishing shots. The ref separates the two and it is over.

First Fight: Anderson Silva vs. Patrick Cote(I did this before UFC 90)
Opening round finds Silva doing what he did in his first fight, outstriking his opponent. Cote is holding his own, taking Silva's shots and giving some of his own. But Silva is just too much. Eventually Cote shoots in on Silva and surprisingly takes him down.
From the bottom, Anderson is throwing elbows, landing them on the top of Cote's head, splitting it open. Cote is dropping some bombs of his own, showing he is not intimidated by Silva. But Silva is still dominating the fight. The round closes with Cote on top of Silva. 10-9 Silva
Second round begins and Anderson is delivering punishing knees to Cote's body, showing how dynamic of a striker he really is. Cote is overwhelmed and is caught off guard by a bone-chilling left hook. Silva realizes he has Cote on the ropes and follows up with an upper-cut, knee to the face, and right hook. Cote falls to the mat and the match is over.
Result: Anderson Silva Wins By KO (Round Two)
Second Fight:Michael Bisbing vs. Dan Henderson
The fight is underway and Bisbing looks good early, landing some good shots on Henderson. Maybe Bisbing will get his title shot. But Henderson goes for the quick takedown. Bisbing does a good job of sprawling, but a persistent Henderson finally gets him to the ground.
Henderson is reigning down punches, Bisbing again is defending nicely. Henderson is keeping Bisbing busy, but Bisbing seems calm. He is able to catch Henderson in a triangle; he has it pretty tight. Henderson is squirming around but in the end is forced to tap! UPSET again for Bisbing.
Result: Bisbing Win By Triangle Choke Submission (Round One)
Finals (Five Rounds):Anderson Silva vs. Michael Bisbing
The crowd is going crazy!!!!
The round starts and Silva is looking good early, but Bisbing has been full of surprises. Bisbing is willing to exchange with Silva. They both land some good combinations. Silva lands a good looking right followed by a nasty looking kick to the midsection.
Bisbing is hurt,he may have hurt his ribs. Silva isn't one to let up; he keeps up the pace with a vicious attack. Bisbing is hurt, holding his midsection.
Silva goes for the takedown, drops Bisbing on his back near the cage. Bisbing attempts to use the cage to help him stand up. It doesn't help, as Silva is going strong with his punishing ground and pound.
Bisbing is doing an OK job of defending the attack but is still taking a lot of damage. 35 seconds are left in the first round. Silva is trying hard to end the fight but can't as the bell rings. 10-8 Silva
Second round and Bisbing is still nursing yet another injury, his midsection is hurting him. Silva, who has looked amazing, keeps true to form, landing shots with pinpoint accuracy.
Bisbing has developed a cut under his left eye. It is bleeding pretty good. Anderson is taking advantage of Bisbing's hurt ribs, throwing hard kicks right to the area. Bisbing is trying his best to hide the pain. He is throwing punches, one of which lands to Silva's left eye, making him step back. The crowd goes wild! The bell rings and the second round is over. 10-9 Silva
Third round starts and Bisbing wastes no time and goes for a takedown. Silva denies him. Bisbing is no longer nursing his ribs and looks revitalized, but Silva quickly lands a combination that sends Bisbing down.
Silva, bent over, delivering punches to a downed Bisbing. Steve Mazzagati is closely watching, but Bisbing survives the attack, although he looks like hell. His face is swollen and bloody, with one cut under his left eye and one on the side of his right. 10-8 Silva
While Bisbing is in his corner, the doctor comes and examines his cuts and sees no reason to stop the fight. Bisbing is pleased.
Fourth round starts and Bisbing lands a surprising right that staggers Anderson. Bisbing quickly follows up with a knee to Silva's jaw. Anderson, realizing he's in trouble, clinches with Bisbing and lands three knees to the injured midsection of Bisbing.
Bisbing quickly falls down clutching his ribs in pain. Silva gets a hard shot off right before the referee intervene's and stops the fight!
