UFC 131 Live Streaming: How to Watch the UFC 131 Preliminary Fights on Facebook

The UFC continues to be one of the most easily accessible sports by bringing us the full UFC 131 fight card streaming on various outlets. Every preliminary fight on tonight’s UFC 131 event on either Facebook or Spike TV, while the main card remains on pay-per-view.

While we have seen the UFC move forward with their Facebook streaming of fights in the past, the last two events marked the first time that fans had the opportunity to get the full experience of the entire card. The live streaming has been was so successful that, to the delight of fans, they have decided to do it again for UFC 131. 

The fights, which begin at 6 p.m. EDT/3 p.m. PDT, will be streamed live from the UFC’s official Facebook fan page.

To watch the preliminary fights, you can follow these simple directions:

1. If you are not a member of Facebook, head over to Facebook.com and fill out the form to create a new account.

2. Once you’re a member, log in and head on over to the UFC Facebook.

3. Next, click the “Like” button near the top of the screen.

4. Now on the left side of the screen, click the “Live Video” button.

5. Click “Play” on the image you see to go to the video page.

6. From here, you should be able to click the Play button in the middle to test the video player.

7. Check back at 6pm EDT/3pm PDT when the fights will begin!

The fights which will air on tonight’s preliminary card on Facebook include:

Bantamweight bout:
Michihiro Omigawa vs. Darren Elkins

Heavyweight bout:
Joey Beltran vs. Aaron Rosa

Featherweight bout:
Dustin Poirier vs. Jason Young

Middleweight bout:
Nick Ring vs. James Head

Light Heavyweight bout: Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Mike Massenzio

Then, immediately following the fights on Facebook, there will be two additional preliminary fights which air on Spike TV:

Middleweight bout:
Jesse Bongfeldt vs. Chris Weidman

Lightweight bout:
Sam Stout vs. Yves Edwards

Once the preliminary fights are complete, it’s time for the UFC 131 "Dos Santos vs. Carwin" pay-per-view event to kick off!
