Mick Foley, Batista, Impact Wrestling, WWE All-Stars, and WWE Capitol Punishment
Welcome to The Hardcore Revolution Column No. 13!
Welcome one and all to The Hardcore Revolution. It has been a while since my last Column and I think this one will be one of the best yet.
I will give my thoughts on the Mick Foley situation with TNA, Batista opening an MMA studio with the legendary Gracie family, the state of Impact Wrestling (TNA), my thoughts on next weeks 3-hour WWE All-Stars event (go home show), and what I think will happen at WWE Capitol Punishment.

Fresh Backstage WWE Rumors 👊

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
1. Mick Foley is leaving TNA or, how they are now known, Impact Wrestling! If this is news to you, where have you been for the last three days?
Mick is leaving because he was being pushed out and not having his voice heard.
He was being complained about as a man who was hard to work with, and he might have been hard to work with because he is passionate about making a great wrestling organization that is not a mirror image of WcW. We know how well WcW did.
This now opens doors for Mick Foley. Mick could go to ROH and help out that business who is really starting to bud, or Mick could return home to the WWE and be a manager, color commentator, or heck he could even be the anonymous RAW GM.![]()
I personally believe that Hogan and Easy E are really blowing it with this move, but I guess it's hard to know that Mick Foley is smarter than you at the business that you think you helped create.
2. With Stike Force being eaten up by the UFC, Batista is hanging high and dry without a contract anymore.
However he does have a back-up plan and will be joining forces with the family that is credited with creating modern day MMA, the Gracies.
Batista's MMA gym will be opening in Flordia and that could mean that Batista might be doing a jump ship to TNA, but we all know that isn't going to happen.
Maybe Batista is going to return soon to the WWE and is try to make Vince jealous by joining forces with the Gracie's, or even show UFC that he knows what he's doing.
Who knows? Who cares?
My personal opinion is that if Batista is going to return to the WWE, Capitol Punishment would be his best place to return as a member of R-Truth's separatist movement.
I doubt it happens, but it would be fun to see Mason Ryan vs Batista in a loser most likely dies from a botched move match.
3. So Mick Foley is leaving Impact Wrestling, so is Tommy Dreamer. Chris Sabin is out for a year and Robert Roode is out for the near future.
Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan are running programs about why wrestling matters, while running a story line that calls the X-Division useless.
TNA has become the NEW WcW and does not seem to be gaining any steam. Sure they do well in their demo, but that's just one demo. They still haven't reaching many 1.0 nights on Spike TV and have confused most of their fans with the whole TNA is now Impact Wrestling thing.
Wrestling has taken a backseat to drama and the drama is subpar compared to the bigger badder company up north.
I wish it was different because I have watched TNA from it's inception, but it looks like TNA is circling the drain and really needs to revamp the way they portray themselves.
Instead of becoming something that didn't work in the long run, they should be looking to innovate their programming into something new and improved.
Unless something changes soon, TNA will continue, I mean Impact Wrestling will continue to slump and lose the interest of true wrestling fans.
4. WWE All-Stars is going to be a 3-hour Super show, and will also be the Go Home show for the RAW brand heading into Capitol Punishment.
This could be a very good thing. It could really continue the Christian/Randy Orton storyline as well as push Truth/Cena into the upper echelon it needs to be.
The feuds going into Capitol Punishment are really taking shape and need a few more adjustments to really be top shelf feuds that we are going to want to pay money to see.
I hope that Cena gets a dose of kryptonite before Capitol Punishment or this PPV is going to be based around Smackdown and rightfully so, since Orton/Christian is the best written feud as on right now.
5. Capitol Punishment is less than two weeks away and the WWE can do some pretty great compelling "entertainment" with this.
Not only can they raise up a new crop of stars in one night, but they can make wrestling relevant again.
Oh wait, this is the WWE we are talking about isn't it...So Christian won't win, and neither with R-Truth, and well Alex Riley won't get a win either.
Well at least we'll get to see Cody Rhodes and Sheamus on the card, oh wait, maybe not.
Well ok at least they'll keep CM Punk interested enough so that he will stay around right?
This is a PPV where the WWE can show this IWC member and every other member whether or not, they listen. Or whether or not a 10 year olds money is better than ours.
