Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez: 5 Things Floyd Mayweather Might Say

Knowing how Floyd Mayweather Jr. seems to have something to say about Manny Pacquiao anytime he does or says something, I thought it would only be fitting to predict what Mayweather Jr. thought when he heard that Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez would fight.

Here are five things Mayweather said once he learned of the Pacquiao vs Marquez fight. (Yes, these are fictional.)

Good Luck with the Pay-Per-View Numbers

In his mind, Floyd Mayweather Jr is the king of pay-per-view gates. Yes he does time-and-time again put up huge numbers when he is featured in a pay-per-view fight, but Manny Pacquiao can generate numbers just fine on his own.

Mayweather's  thoughts on the Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez fight as it pertains to possible pay-per-view earnings is: "Good luck with those pay-per-view numbers. Everybody knows the money follows me wherever I go. They don't call me "Money" Mayweather for nothing."

I Can Make Some Money off of This

Known just as much for his boxing skills as he is his urge to flash his money, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is not afraid to put up large sums of money on a single bet in Las Vegas—if you follow him on Twitter you know what I'm talking about.

Floyd Mayweather will still bank off this fight, but not in the ring, but in the casino. Here is Mayweather's thoughts on the betting angle: "Everyone knows Manny Pacquiao is no Floyd Mayweather Jr, but hey, not everyone can be as gifted and good looking as me.

"Just because I'm not fighting Pacquiao, doesn't mean he can't make me some money for his hard work. Here's $100,000; put it on Pacquiao and pray he looks half as good as I do when I'm fighting in the ring and wins me some cash flow."

Being that Floyd Mayweather Jr has already beaten Juan Manuel Marquez back in 2009, Mayweather would be sure to say something regarding Pacquiao taking on someone he already was victorious over—even though Manny Pacquiao has beat Marquez once before as well.

Here are Mayweather's thoughts on Manny Pacquiao fighting Marquez: "They say one man's trash is another person's treasure, but hey, at least Pacquiao is doing something good for the environment and is recycling."

Don't Buy a Fight That Will Put You to Sleep

With Floyd Mayweather Jr. scheduled to take on Victor Ortiz on Sept. 17 and the Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez bout scheduled for Nov. 12, just two months later, Mayweather would be sure to say something about buying his fight instead of Pacquiao's.

Here is Mayweather's take on whose fight to buy: "Don't waste your hard-earned Mayweathers err... I mean money on the Pacquiao and Marquez bout, a fight you have seen two times before. Be smart like me and spend your hard-earned cash on a real superstar and keep you and your family from being put to sleep watching a rerun."

Just Take the Damn Blood Test

With the whole world waiting and wondering if Floyd Mayweather Jr will ever take on Manny Pacquiao, Mayweather would surely use the spotlight to diffuse interest in the Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez fight and put it on the one area Mayweather will tell you is holding up the mega fight: blood tests.

Here is Mayweather's take on the mega fight that could be: "Just take the damn blood tests, Manny. To make it fair, I'll have them draw my blood has I'm walking to the ring to fight you.

"All you got to do is lay off the PED's for just one fight and let the world see how much of a fighter you really are, and we'll see why I am the real pound-for-pound greatest fighter who ever lived."
