Carl Edward’s past seven days haven’t been anything to write home about.
Edwards crashed out of the race at Talladega by his own accord. That wreck caused some hard feeling between “Cousin” Carl and Kevin (not-so) “Happy” Harvick. The bad blood was so thick that it caused a fracus in the Nationwide garage at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. The pushing and shoving match in the garage resulted in the pair being summoned to the NASCAR trailer for an old fashoned tounge lashing.
Sources said the two combatants shook hands and left with the incident behind them. If that wasn’t enough drama for the week for Edwards; the saturday night race saw him again leave early with motor troubles. Edwards now finds himself 168 points behind teammate Greg Biffle and in fourth place in the Chase. A little over two weeks ago, Edwards was considered the chief competition for Jimmy Jounson to win the Sprint Cup.
And that leads us to this week’s BUZZ ON PIT ROW:
"Does the last week show that Carl Edwards and the 99 team are not ready to win a championship?
