Manny Pacquiao Video: Watch Bob Arum Claim Floyd Mayweather Is Scared of Manny

In a recent interview with EsNewsReporting.com, Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum claimed Floyd Mayweather Jr. turned down $65 million from "legitimate people from Singapore" to fight eight-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao.

Said Arum, "What does that tell you? It tells you he doesn't want to fight Manny Pacquiao."

The boxing world has been buzzing for years about a potential Mayweather vs. Pacquiao bout, who were generally regarded as the two best pound-for-pound boxers in the world before Mayweather was dropped from most rankings because he hadn't fought in over a year.

There are many theories about why Mayweather and Pacquiao haven't fought yet: Mayweather is scared of relinquishing his undefeated record, Pacquiao won't "take the tests," not enough money has been offered to Mayweather's camp and, of course, Mayweather's ongoing legal battles stemming from an incident with his ex-girlfriend in September.

Apparently we all know how Arum feels now.

Declared Arum:

"He's smart not to fight Manny Pacquiao because, truth be told, everybody (who) knows boxing knows that Manny Pacquiao would clean his clock."

Arum goes on to say Mayweather is ducking the bout because he would rather leave his legacy up to fans' minds than quit in the ring against Pacquiao.

Obviously, this is bound to create some waves from all those in Mayweather's camp, including his fans, and I'm guessing this isn't the last we've heard in the back-and-forth banter we've all grown accustomed to.

"Really, (Mayweather's) record is 41-1 because he's already lost to Pacquiao by ducking him the way he has."
