B/R Exclusive: Interview with Lingerie Football League Star Danielle Moinet

0 of 14

When I did an article about the hottest 10 women in the Lingerie Football League, I expected to get a lot of reads and comments. I never expected LFL star Danielle Moinet would love it so much, she'd tweet it out and get very happy about it. Moinet is a massive fan of our website, Bleacher Report.

She was so ecstatic to be in the list.

So, I decided to see if she wanted to do an interview with me here for the website, and she was all for it. She even threw in some unreleased pictures for me to use.

Moinet opens up a lot in this interview, as she talks about her most embarrassing moment, where's she's from, her future and much, much more.

I invite you to take a look and get to know Danielle Moinet. Trust me when I say you'll hear her name a lot more in the near future.

Joe: In the LFL, you played for the Chicago Bliss. Are you a native of Chicago yourself? If not, where are you from?

Danielle: I’m from Raleigh, North Carolina, and I can’t lie…I missed the South since I’ve been gone!

Joe: Now, a while back, some of the LFL ladies posed for Playboy, and you weren't one of them. But it seems Playboy has been courting you some. Do you think you'll ever pose for Playboy?

Danielle: I loved the LFL issue of Playboy! All of the girls looked beautiful and it was huge exposure for the League! As for me, it’s not something that I feel comfortable doing right now.

Playboy is an amazing opportunity and can catapult your career in so many different avenues! The Playboy family as a whole seems like a very special unit to be a part of. If given the opportunity, I encourage women to be a part of the magazine and I too hope to visit the mansion one day.

Who wouldn’t want to meet Hef and all of his beautiful women!

LFL Days Over?

Joe: You mentioned that you would not be returning to the Chicago Bliss next season. Why is that? And, because you are one of the faces of the LFL, will the Bliss or the LFL survive without you in your mind?

Danielle: Haha, well of course they will survive without me!  I was very lucky to have worked with Mitch Mortaza and the league’s head office since day one to help build The Chicago Bliss.

The success of the league nationally and especially locally in Chicago doesn’t surprise me, but it does wow me on how far it’s come.  I’m so proud of the team the last couple of years and it’s gonna be very hard to not play next year.  Football has been a huge part of my life the past three years.

From May to February, I practiced three times a week and had the unreal experience of playing in front of thousands!  Since I moved to North Carolina, there isn’t a team down here, so I won’t be playing, but I’ll be going to a lot of games within the league!

The Future

4 of 14

Joe: Now, you are mostly known for your work with the Lingerie Football League (LFL), but obviously, those days are behind you. What's next for Danielle Moinet?

Danielle: I just moved from Chicago back home to North Carolina weeks ago, so I’m actually still unpacking. As of right now, I’m going to continue modeling through representation down here and also in Chicago. I’m also looking to get back involved into something using my degree. I like to have my hands in a lot of different projects at one time, so we’ll see what’s in store for me next.

Coming Up

Joe: What schools did you go to (high school, colleges, etc.)?

Danielle: I went to Enloe High School and then East Carolina University and graduated with a business degree in marketing. Go Pirates!

Joe: Your days in the LFL are over, but there is a new flock of talented women coming in. Any advice for them?

Danielle: Live in the moment and have fun! It’s very easy to get wrapped up in all the different aspects of the LFL, and before you know it, the season is over. Train hard, play harder; have fun at practice and in the games! The teams that win are having a blast out on the field, and it shows!

Joe: If you had to describe yourself, Danielle Moinet, in three words, what would they be?

    Danielle: Enthusiastic, charismatic, driven

WWE Bound?

8 of 14

Joe: Now, I am a big wrestling fan, and there are a lot of big ones on B/R, too. A lot of people ask me who I think could be a WWE Diva in the sports world, and you fit the bill perfectly. You ever think something like that would ever interest you?

Danielle: Wow, it’s like you know me, and we haven’t even met before! I’m a huge WWE fan, Monday Night RAW especially. I watched pro-wrestling growing up, but I went to my first taping two years ago, and I was hooked! I sat ringside, got to go backstage and met some of the wrestlers.  Everyone was so nice, and it really seemed like one big traveling family. The Divas are not only gorgeous but extremely athletic. Why wouldn’t I wanna be a part of that!

Sports Fan and B/R Fan Too?

9 of 14

Joe: Now, you're a big sports fan from what we've seen of you. What sections on B/R's massive sports site do you frequent the most?

Danielle:  Well, it depends what time of the year it is really. I’ve been on the NBA and Wrestling section mostly, but I still continue to check out the NFL section in the offseason. I also love B/R Swagger, too...for the articles, of course!

Favorite Place

10 of 14

Joe: You've been all over the country with the LFL, but you've been outside the country, too. What's your favorite place in the world outside of your hometown?

Danielle: Other than some places in the Caribbean, one of my favorite places to go has to be England!  My mom is British, and I’ve been there a number of times. I love the culture, and there is great shopping and yummy food, too.

How to Get a Date with Danielle Moinet

11 of 14

Joe: Many guys would love to date a woman such as yourself. Do you have any advice for a guy trying to get a girl like you?

Danielle: Well, for a guy trying to get any girl, I would say confidence is key. Don’t be afraid to shoot her a look or approach her. What’s the worst that will happen? She’ll say she has a boyfriend or will turn you down? OK then, on to the next. You have nothing to lose!

Most Embarassing Moment

12 of 14

Joe: We know many things about Danielle Moinet, but obviously there are things we don't know. Care to tell us your most embarrassing moment?

Danielle: I used to work for a wholesale plumbing company, and during my inside sales training, I had to go onto a job site. The job site was full with HVAC guys, plumbers and the superintendent was on site.

Not to mention, I was the only girl!

I was installing the rough-in of a shower and had to solder copper pipe. While lighting the map gas, I didn’t realize I had it all the way turned up. The guy training me was yelling for me to turn it down, but I couldn’t hear him over the electric saws. So, I lit it, and the flame shot out, burning a wood plank, and I yelled at the top of my lungs.

Everyone stopped what they were doing and started dying out laughing. I was so embarrassed and never went on site again!

Dream Job

13 of 14

Joe: Being a woman who is beautiful, athletic and talented, you're bound to have many interests. You're also highly qualified to do many things with that degree of yours. Is there a dream job you possibly have?

Danielle: I love to have my hands in lots of different things, so there isn’t just one job I would like to have. A couple jobs that I would love to do are hosting a television show, sideline reporting for the NBA or NFL, on-camera hosting for an entertainment network, event planning for a PR company or resort and, of course, WWE Diva!

How Do You Want to Be Remembered?

14 of 14

Joe: Finally, when all is said and done with your life, how do you want to be remembered?

Danielle: I can’t control the way people remember me, so I’ve learned to not worry about that anymore. For me, I wanna be able to look back at my life and say that I took every chance I could and really went for every opportunity that I had. I wanna know I left it all out on ‘the field’ per say. I lived life to the fullest and treated others the way I want to be treated. Hopefully, I’ll touch a life or two on the way.

I'd like to thank Danielle for allowing me to do the Interview, and if you want to find her and maybe send her a tweet, you can @DanielleMoinet. Follow her today!
