WWE Divas: With Kharma Gone, 10 New Story Lines That Would Spice Up the Division

I believe an important time is upon us in Divaland. Last week on Raw, Kharma unexpectedly announced she was taking time away from performing due to her high-risk pregnancy.
As surprised as I was, the fact she is going to live her dream of becoming a mother makes me all warm inside. I'm not a woman, but I am certain that is like winning the lottery.
The only bad about all this, if you HAVE TO have a bad side, is the fact the WWE Divas division went right back to square one and now needs some serious revamping in order to stay alive.
Now, I don't believe they will ever pull the plug on it because the women involved are all talented and beautiful people.
They deserve a place amongst the roster and I have come up with some ways to make sure we all reacquaint ourselves with the first ladies of WWE.
As the summer months begin, let's look at some sizzling ways to revive the Divas division until Kharma comes back and terrorizes everyone again.
The Bellas vs. Kelly Kelly: It Is Not Over Just Yet

After the disastrous match at Over the Limit, I was disappointed to see the championship still in possession of those damned Bellas.
Did I fail to mention how much I despise them? I believe every article I wrote on Divas has something like "I hate them" in there.
Since no one knew Kharma was leaving then, I was certain this was the time Kelly would pinch the divas title and then the monster would have taken every girl out, thus revealing her intentions as to why she had spared the blonde bombshell on two occasions.
All right, things aren't to be so. That's ok. Now it is time to see what both characters, Brie and Kelly, can really do.
What was that at the last pay-per-view? Five minutes of bathroom time?
One more match, I say. If Kelly fails then it would be time to move on to the next challenger.
I really think Kelly Kelly is destined for greatness in the division. I even had her defeating Kharma at WrestleMania XXVII at one point...scratch that one now.
Let us have some more of her on television. She is beautiful, and that is always something positive to watch.
The Glamazon Goes After the Bella Twins

Did Brie and Nikki call Kharma fat? Did they make fun of her unborn child?
It is time for payback now.
Her name: Beth Phoenix "The Glamazon"
Word has gotten to my ear that some live event cards advertise Phoenix taking on Brie Bella for the title.
Finally!
It would be imperative to have The Glamazon appear on television more often. She had disappeared for some time now. When we saw Kharma come to the ring, I was certain they would have a staredown.
She is THE most dominant, powerful Diva on the roster. She is an incredible athlete and hasn't won the Divas Championship yet.
The time is now.
Time for her to win the belt AND HOLD ON TO IT for at least seven months. That would really re-establish the credibility of not only the title but of the whole division as well. It would also bring us to Royal Rumble time and the road to WrestleMania.
Great time for title changes as it sets the stage for the Show of Shows.
We need a strong and credible champion.
Beth Phoenix needs to berate the Bellas for their absurd comments. That would make for some good TV time, no?
She is a bigger than life character and those damned twins don't stand a chance in hell against her.
Mean Girls vs. Powerpuff Girls: A Divas Gang War Begins!
3 of 11A few weeks ago on Raw we had the eight Divas match where Kharma broke down.
I thought that could have been amazing seeing that every major diva was involved...minus Natalya.
Now, I believe the teams were really well assembled.

and Maryse
With maybe Alicia Fox
A clique of self-centered, arrogant and attention-seeking women who put down and isolate all those that do not fit their mold or visions on what is beautiful and talented. Kind of like LayCool but meaner...if that is possible.
They'd gather and make fun of people, beat them in the ring until the inevitable happens...the other girls band together.

With maybe Natalya
These honorable chicks defend women like Kharma and many others who don't actually fit the Barbie doll mold.
This whole angle could also serve to bring some much deserved TV time for all the divas. I'd enjoy some more backstage segments and face-offs between them.
If we are ever to think of this division as anything special then WWE has to make the most of the incredible talent it has. All of it!

The Divas championship in the hands of the Bellas...???
Enough is enough!
They are an embarrassment to the lineage of this prestigious title. I don't even know why they are still employed. They aren't even athletes! The twin magic thing is so over!
Why not concentrate on those that truly are wonderful in the ring?
You have your Beths, Natalyas, Gails, Melinas, Maryses to name a few. So much potential there AND they have the on-screen speaking skills to match.
Treating the championship this way is insulting and makes me boil! I don't want to see Bellas. I want to see Gail Kim vs. Melina, Maryse vs. Beth Phoenix...something fun!
I believe in this division and the talent involved. I say give them a real chance and you'd be surprised to see just how amazing they really are.
Even Eve Torres and Kelly Kelly have merit. They are really getting better in the ring.
I think taking the title off of Eve was ridiculous. In that red and gold outfit, she looked like a superhero and that was interesting to watch.
I would have preferred her dropping the belt to Gail Kim since she and Kharma are actual real-life friends. I thought maybe an angle between the two would have been in the works.
Give some time to those that really matter, that's all I'm saying.

Makes me wish we had Xena the Warrior Princess in WWE.
Wait! We have one!
Now is the time to rely heavily upon Beth Phoenix.
She is the best.
Kharma needs time off? Fine. Until we can have that epic confrontation between the two phenomenons, I say give full power to The Glamazon.
The time for Phoenix has come.
She could really dominate as she did back in 2007-2008 and with her as champion, the Divas championship would have regained its pride.
After claiming the title, I'd see a great feud between her and Gail Kim, another amazing athlete. Have that last a few months until Beth moves on to another epic feud, against her longtime rival: Melina Perez.
The two could have an amazing series of matches and then that unbelievable showdown at the 2012 Royal Rumble where Melina regains the belt.
This sets the stage for WrestleMania XXVIII where Kelly Kelly FINALLY takes the butterfly.
The point of this whole slide is, we have many months between now and next year's Mania, 11 to be exact (if you count this current month).
That is a lot!
A perfect time to have Beth Phoenix as a long time champion, defending against all comers, bringing back importance to the title, the division and herself in the process.
The Divas division needs Beth Phoenix just as much as it needs some good "Kharma."

PG rated television or not, since when is it not alright to have women in bikinis? We are not in Saudi Arabia last time I checked.
This is a great way of making people wait a little before they go to the bathroom. I am angry when I hear Divas matches are the pee breaks. You kidding me?
I'm like The King on this one...I wanna see DIVAS!!
I have many women friends and they laugh when I mention these matches to them. But they also say women have power and they have a much more sensual way of displaying it.
I don't think it degrades the ladies. They consent to this. What's wrong with that? It is their choice.
This is sports-entertainment. I want to watch a good show all night long so having divas diverting us is just as good as say watching The Miz on commentary or someone defeating John Cena for the WWE title.
For those conservatives yelling how shameful this is, you can go back to the 50s with your "values." You just have to go to a local beach or pool and notice how Diva-like the ladies are.
Doesn't take a genius to figure out this would definitely work to get our attention.
WWE Divas Division: Introduce Some Gimmick Matches

To revive the division you have to think outside the box.
There was one instance where I thought TNA was avant-garde compared to WWE. They have a Knockouts Steel Cage match between Madison Rayne and Mickie James.
That is so innovative!
Why didn't WWE capitalize on that and create something just as amazing if not better?
This July 19 is Money In The Bank...have a Divas version..NOW!
There should be two Divas' matches in that event.
Beth Phoenix challenging Brie Bella for the Divas' title AND the first-ever Divas' Money in the Bank ladder match.
It's a win-win situation!
You make history many times in one night. Beth wins her FIRST Divas Championship and joins Mickie James and company on the list of women who held both women's titles.
She destroys the Bellas and we have our brand new Mrs. MITB.
Pretty cool summer, don't you think?
You have to be able to give the ladies a chance to step up their game. We've already had great matches like that in the past. I can think of two in particular.
Beth Phoenix vs. Melina: I Quit match at One Night Stand
or
Melina vs. Mickie James: Falls Count Anywhere on Raw
Amazing showdowns involving amazing athletes.
The time is now WWE...don't drop the ball!
Vacate the Divas Championship

Here is a rather risky option.
Have a controversial finish and declare this title vacant. The following weeks and months could showcase all the divas trying to get their hands on this prize.
I think it is risky, because we had the title vacant last year due to an injury sustained by Melina.
At this point in time, though, wouldn't this be better than having those evil twins devalue the championship further?
To have no champion would give WWE the option of deciding one through anything like a battle-royal or four to six-way matches...no no!
Everyone should have a chance to be part of this quest and that way also we get to see every Diva and afterwards know why they'd be let go...since the rumored cuts haven't happened yet.
It is just an idea but might do some good for the division.
Then again...anything is better than Brie Bella.

The match we've all been demanding for WrestleMania XXVII that NEVER happened!
For the life of me, I will never understand why the creative writers of WWE never went with this angle.
Are they blind?
Instead of this, we had Snooki. ........... (Silence in the room.)
It's amazing how people with such innovative visions can be so short-sighted.
This would be an epic encounter. Just as good as any John Cena or Randy Orton title match. I'd rather see this one than say R-Truth challenging for the WWE title, let's be honest.
I want this match, you want this match. I hope they could be heading that way this year and make up for lost time.
They both can be "faces." I like both characters either way and am not ready to accept these ladies as "heels" just yet. We need them to be fan favourites.
Given the green light, they could build a superb feud with a breath-taking series of matches week after week.
If they put their great minds and talent to it, they could accomplish ANYTHING!

When was the last time we had some Divas alongside WWE superstars?
It has been a while.
There are some real-life couples. John Morrison and Melina are one and so are The Miz and Maryse apparently.
Yes everyone...Mike Mizanin is parading around town with the most beautiful woman in the world. BE JEALOUS!
He truly is awesome!
Now that we've established that, it is time to face the facts. The ladies could bring out the best from some mediocre superstars.
My personal pick would be a real feud between Miz and Morrison. We never really had one yet I believe, just a few matches here and there.
Enter Melina and Maryse, some of the top Divas and bam! Solid gold.
It would a first here as well. Melina was set to feud with Maryse over the divas title back in 2009 but a torn ACL sustained by the paparazzi princess cut that short...too bad.
Now we could have it.
Eventually we could really witness a "face" turn by The Miz, as I feel he and Maryse could portray a beautiful and magical couple just like Randy Savage and Elizabeth.
Of course, they are totally different but I get a feeling it could be done in some way. Maryse is a very timid girl for your information. What she plays on TV is not her real self...thank God!
I loved John Morrison and Melina as bad guys. They had a killer entrance in the Johnny Nitro days and I miss her wearing skirts.
If you don't like this one there are other scenarios that could work out if they gave it a try.
Drew McIntyre and Kelly Kelly vs. Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero. Thses guys could use some time in the spotlight.
Vickie draws amazing heat, time to capitalize on that.
They say, behind every great man is an even greater woman. Could this be a way to bring back the glitter of the Divas Division?

11 of 11This is it, everyone. The time to show the divas we think they are amazing.
The division has taken a hit in the last few weeks with Michelle McCool and Layla out and with Kharma's sudden departure.
Do not despair.
They will make it up to us a thousand fold.
