Roger Federer: Watch Swiss Star Sweep Fan Off Her Feet at the French Open

Roger Federer has done a lot of great things on the tennis court.

He is the most successful male tennis player of all-time with 16 grand slam championships. He has spent a record 285 weeks as the No. 1 player in the world, including 237 straight weeks from February 2004-August 2008.

But all of those accolades pale in comparison to what he is able to do to his female fan base.

As he was walking off the court following a victory in the quarterfinals of the French Open, Federer stopped to take a photo with one of his fans. A female fan, who just wanted to be included, got a little too excited and leaned too far over to catch a glimpse of her favorite tennis player and ended up tumbling to the ground.

It turns out that this was the best possible thing that could have happened to this woman, whose name is Emma Carmichael, because Federer went right over to her and ended up shaking her hand.

The video cuts off right after that, but I would have to imagine that he took a picture with the woman and gave her an autograph or some piece of memorabilia.

So, let this be a lesson to all of you over-obsessed sports fans out there. If you want to get the attention of your favorite athlete, don't tell them something that they have heard a million times before like "I am your biggest fan."

Instead, lean over the railing as they are walking by and then fall to the ground. That will cause everything going on around them to stop and they will come over and shake your hand.

Emma Carmichael played this whole thing off as an accident, but I smell a well thought out plan that was executed to perfection.
