Jeff Faine: Tampa Bay Buc Relents, Climbs Aboard Freeman Workout Train
Captain Controversy is trying to shed his latest image of the the guy who threw a bucket of backwash on Josh Freeman's workout parade.
Jeff Faine has relented.
Faine, one of the team captains for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, even went so far as to write an open letter to the St. Petersburg Times to explain to us that he's really, truly a loyal team guy, and that he's all behind quarterback Josh Freeman and, get this, drumroll please, he's going to attend Freeman's ongoing lockout workouts.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Now isn't that just peachy.
Gotta love the part where Faine tells us, "I typically don't respond to blogs, but........"
Controversy or not, it was time for Faine to get in the mix and get in their with his in-town teammates.
Heck, even the bad-boy of the bunch, Aqib Talib, is in there, setting a good example for once in his life. Yes, Talib's out there and why not, it will take his mind off being indicted, and best of all, it will keep him out of trouble, at least for the few hours that he's out there with Freeman and the guys.
As we now enter June, this is normally the time when all these guys go on a short vacation. This is the time when they've basically completed the mini-camps, although there usually might be one or two short ones in June. It is the last two weeks of June and the first two weeks of July where they get away and enjoy some time off before camp starts at the end of July.
So here we are, 60 days away from camps opening and what do we have from the NFL?
Nothing.
And that's a frightening thought.
But at least we have Jeff Faine out there with Josh Freeman.
And that's where he should be, shouldn't he?
