WWE Over the Limit Results: 10 Things We Want to See at WWE Capitol Punishment

Jon SainzMay 25, 2011

Over the Limit was on Sunday and nothing really happened.

Now it's time to look to the next PPV.

The only new PPV of the year, Capitol Punishment, which also happens to have one of the worst promos ever.

Here are 10 things we (or at least I) would like to see in WWE's new PPV.

Skip Sheffield

OK, I may be alone on this one, but I like the guy.

He's been injured since mid-August, but before that he was the Original Nexus' powerhouse.

The guy has a bright future in the ring, and I for one want to see him come back as soon as possible.

Kharma's In-Ring Debut

2 of 10

OK, just to cover my ass: Kharma's PPV in-ring debut.

We've seen her attack random Divas since her debut, but she hasn't been in a match yet.

Since she debuted in a PPV (Extreme Rules), another PPV (Capitol Punishment) could mark her in-ring debut.

New Feuds

3 of 10

We are going to get this one no matter what.

With Cole vs. Lawler and Cena vs. Miz over for sure, so we'll have at least two new feuds: Miz vs. Riley and Cena vs. the new No. 1 Contender.

Secondary Title Matches

4 of 10

November 21, 2010. Survivor Series.

That was the last time both the US and the IC titles were defended in the same PPV (OK, both were also defended at TLC 2010, but the US title was the dark match, so it doesn't count).

If the WWE wants to put an unannounced match in this PPV, it should be a title match instead of a random match up with guys that have nothing going on.

New Champions

5 of 10

OK, we got new Tag Team Champions on RAW, but still we have only seen four titles change hands in 2011 PPVs.

I think we've seen that many titles if not more change hands during RAW and SmackDown broadcasts this year.

New World Champions/No. 1 Contenders

6 of 10

The Miz vs. Cena feud is over, so we are guaranteed to have a new No. 1 contender for the WWE Championship.

Orton vs. Christian may also be over, which would give us a new No. 1 for the WHC.

I hope that the WWE gives those spots to guys who have never been World Champions.

Drew McIntyre is the first one who comes to mind (I like the guy more and more every time I see him), but there are a lot of guys deserving an opportunity, even if they are unable to win the belt.

No Gimmick Matches

7 of 10

One PPV without them; that's all I ask.

Can we please have one PPV with only one on one and normal Tag Team matches?

PPV Quality Matches

8 of 10

Lately, WWE PPVs have not been that great.

Over the Limit was the biggest showcase of that trend, to me it seemed more like a RAW special than a PPV.

The WWE needs to start making PPVs really special if they want us to keep paying for them.

Surprise Appearances

9 of 10

People love surprises. That's even more true in wrestling.

Now with the Internet and the huge amount of information and spoilers, it's really hard to surprise us anymore, but an unannounced comeback is always welcome.

Most of us already knew Diesel and Booker T were going to be in the Royal Rumble. Even so, they got the biggest pops of the night.

The WHC Defended in the Main Event

10 of 10

All year, the best match of every single PPV has been the one with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line.

Yet it hasn't been the Main Event, it even was the first match at WrestleMania and at the Royal Rumble.

I hope the WWE takes notice of the great matches this belt is giving and makes it the Main Event for this PPV.
