Bengals Fall 0-7 After Loss To Steelers, Will Fans Really Organize a Walkout?
The Dayton Daily News wrote an article the other day about a possible "walkout" being organized by Bengals fans for a game November 16 against the Philadelphia Eagles in a protest to have Mike Brown resign as owner.
A walkout by fans would just be another item to add to the frustration list of the Cincinnati Bengal's 2008 season.
On Sunday, 65,820 fans packed Paul Brown Stadium to watch the Cincinnati Bengals take on the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers. This has always been a fun AFC North matchup to watch ever since the Steelers eliminated the Bengals from the 2006 playoffs. Despite the Bengals dreadful start, the attendance statistics were impressive for a team that has yet to win a game this season.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
That's because the stadium was packed with thousands of Steelers fans.
For the fifth time since the 1991 season, the Cincinnati Bengals start the season 0-7 after falling to the Steelers 38-10 on Sunday.
For the second straight week, the Bengals led an impressive drive right before halftime to give hope that this will be their week to finally pull off the victory.
For the second straight week, the Bengals fell apart in the second half.
After Ryan Fitzpatrick led the Bengals 92 yards in the final few minutes of the first half to find Chad Ocho Cinco for the five yard touchdown, the Bengals performance fell apart in the second half.
How bad was it? Let's see:
1. After trailing 10-7 at halftime, the Steelers outscored the Bengals 28-3 in the second half.
2. Coach Mike Tomlin felt confident enough to let second-string quarterback Byron Leftwich come in at the end of the game to allow Ben Roethlisberger to rest. Big Ben completed 17 of 28 for 216 yards, two touchdowns, and no turnovers. Leftwich finished three of three for 34 yards and a touchdown.
3. The good news: the Bengals caught a break when they found out star running back Willie Parker would be sitting out another week.
The bad news: Willie Parker sitting had no impact on the Steelers rushing game. Steeler's backup running back Mewelde Moore looked like an image of Parker as he rushed for 120 yards and a career-high three touchdowns.
Moore put up more rushing yards in one game than Bengals running back Cedric Benson has posted in three games this season with the Bengals (120 to 88).
4. The Bengals defense came up with ZERO sacks against . If you were watching the game on CBS today, you would have seen that Roethlisberger has been sacked 111 times since 2006. That's more than any other active quarterback. Not to mention the next quarterback closest to Roethlisberger hasn't even hit 70 sacks.
What does that mean? That means the Bengals defense is so bad that they couldn't even take advantage of a struggling offensive line that has been letting Big Ben get roughed up all season. They couldn't even record ONE sack against it.
5. Through seven games this season, the Bengals have yet to have a 100-yard rusher on the season. Not to mention the Bengals have passed for 200+ yards in just two of their seven games.
Once again, the Cincinnati Bengals continue to disappoint their fans. Every time they are favored to lose (Dallas/New York), they surprise everybody and almost pull off a shocking upset. Every time they play an opponent they have a good chance at beating, they end up losing.
It's safe to say that the Bengals will go nowhere with Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback. It's hard to understand how a quarterback with receivers like Ocho Cinco and Houshmandzadeh fail to record at least 200 yards passing in a game.
The best thing the Bengals can do is start counting down to the bye week. They need Carson Palmer healthy more than anything right now. Fitzpatrick may be able to pull a victory off against the Texans. However, the Texans seem to be coming around after winning their last two games in a row.
Next week, the Bengals travel down to Houston to take on the Texans, who are coming off a 28-21 victory over the winless Detroit Lions (must be nice to play two teams in a row who have a combined 0-13 record).
Too bad the Bengals don't play the Lions anytime soon. If they did, at least we would know that one of the teams would walk away with a "W" in the win column.
