Andrea Pirlo Moves from AC Milan to Juventus: What Else To Expect
Reports in Italy suggest that Milan legend Andrea Pirlo has signed a three-year deal with Juventus.
Pirlo has played for Milan for the past 10 years and has been an important part of the Milan team during that period.
After months of speculation over the veteran's future, he has finally agreed to join Juventus, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
This might suggest that Juve has finally given up on signing Alberto Aquilani, who is on loan at Juventus but has been considered too expensive. It has also been reported that the Milan club are interested in signing Aquilani, according to Caught Offside.
Pirlo, who is one of the greatest passers of the game and is also a free-kick specialist, plays a similar style of soccer as Aquilani and is arguably a better player than his counterpart.
With another embarrassing season for the Old Lady, which has seen them out of the race for Champions League, Juventus are in a rebuilding process and General Manager Beppe Marotta has been very busy since joining the team.
During the last 10 months he has brought in 12 players, and has said that Juventus needs another "four great players," according to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FIFA.com.
The first of those quality players is Pirlo, who at 31 can play for at least a couple of seasons with little problem. Michel Bastos, Neymar, Carlos Tevez and Gael Clichy are some other names that have been mentioned in the past.
With Juventus in need of two fullbacks and a left-sided midfielder, that is if Quagliarella and Matri are signed, expect much more activity in the summer transfers.
