Previewing the Vikings Vs. Bears Game

A mid-season battle of supremacy. Both the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings are 3-3 and are tied for first place in the NFC North with the Packers,

On Sunday the Vikings prevailed in a 12 to 10 defensive battle over the Lions. Adrian Peterson rushed for 111 yards but also fumble twice. As for Gus Frerotte he completed 18 of 33 passes for 296 yards and one touchdown. Bernard Berrian was an absolute stud catching 5 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown.

On the defensive side of the ball Kevin Williams recorded a career-high 4 sacks. Jared Allen also had a sack because Dan Orlovsky, the Lions Quarterback ran out of the back of the end-zone. Don't worry, Dan-- I would run from Jared Allen like that to.

As for Chicago they were stunned on a last second field goal by Jason Elam.

Side Note: Minnesota signed Dontarrious Thomas after he was released by the Chiefs. Thomas will start at middle linebacker for the Vikings. To make room the Vikings placed Rookie Guard Drew Radovich on Injured Reserve with a shoulder injury.

None of these injuries are extremely significant since most of them will play. David Herron with all of his injuries will likely miss Sunday's game. Brandon Lloyd could also miss this week.

Good news for the Vikings is that Madieu Williams is likely to get some playing time on Sunday for the first time all year.
